Seasons of Love: Book Three Asher Eisenberg is a brilliant actor, destined for fame and fortune. But a traumatic incident in his past has caused him to reject his Jewish heritage and hide from everyone behind walls of arrogance and selfishness, and he blurs his loneliness with a lot of sex and alcohol. When he meets Peniamina Faamausili, however, he strangely can't stop thinking about the young man. Peni is struggling with his sexuality, the Mormonism he was raised in, and the Samoan heritage that calls to him. He longs to receive the pe'a—the traditional Samoan tattoos-- and learn more of his people's ways. He has no interest in a man like Asher, who appears to use men and put them aside and whose drinking can't help but remind him of the drunk driver who killed his father. But he can't deny his attraction to Asher and finally agrees to a date if Asher can go thirty days without a drink. Asher is about to go on a journey that will awaken him to his friends, his past, his future, and even to love. But that awakening could well demand the sacrifice of the dream he holds most dear.

Give me more autumn leaves and I'll decorate them all on my forehead, give me more sorrows and I'll register them on my heart. They will then travel down to the pages. Indeed I'm the pages I wrote, and there are many blank pages still to write. Every word and act of emotional touch is in my first poetic collection, Autumn Leaves: An Anthology. Poetry is like the autumn season that sheds leaves of creation in destruction. Autumn as a metaphor to sadness brings to us a kind of ecstasy and then we can feel spring because without sadness our life cannot feel the depth of any pleasure. The poems in this collection are the gloomy thoughts converted into the delight of the poet. Apart from poems, this collection also includes some songs and sketches making it different from other anthologies.

Autumn Leaves: Seasons of Life

The common thread that connects all the stories in the book is the Fall or the Autumn. Autumn symbolizes a time of self-reflection. It is also the transition from light to darkness like twilight when day slowly melts away into the darkness but not before revealing the resplendency of the setting sun. It is also a period of accepting the reality of the present and moving towards and preparing oneself for the future: a period of contemplation and accepting impermanence. Like the seasons, we also change within ourselves whether it is coping with impermanence, overcoming the ghosts of the past, or learning to make our lives more meaningful. 'Autumn Leaves' narrates the reality of being left alone as one ages due to the splintering of families and the slow drifting away of relationships. The story traces one family's travel through four generations. 'Amora' is all about the failure to distinguish between love and infatuation before realizing that relationships are based on understanding and acceptance and that alone is permanent. 'Enigma', brings together two individuals who are diametrically opposite in nature but stay bonded till the end. The story is about friendship, love and that the meaning of our existence lies in how useful a life we have led.

The poems in Autumn Has The Most Important Job shows the intimacy that can be witnessed through the seasons. It is one that helps us to travel along the string of life: memories and daydreams, moving from love to loss, being consumed by everlasting grief, relishing in the touch of loved ones, and being lovingly stroked by the hope only the dark can bring. Drawing on lived experiences and vivid daydreams, this collection of poems shows the seemingly randomness of raw emotions as they work together to create a picture of the complexity of life.

Once again, Dr. Bollendorf, with Donna Gluck, has woven a vivid and entertaining tapestry of dysfunctional family dynamics and the ripples of sadness that drug addiction causes. As the effects explode the romantic and familial relationships of the well-drawn characters, we see the radius of the blast expand to disrupt communities and cultures, particularly the Native American reservations and the tensions of coexistence with the white cities and towns. The themes of addiction, its treatment, and the recovery process are accurate and informative, but rather than simply exposit these valuable lessons, Autumn Snow wraps it all in an entertaining and suspenseful murder mystery.

I have spent much of my life in the out-of-doors following in the autumn footsteps of my father, his father and those generations that came before them. This work is a collection of my hunting memories and is an attempt to pass on my family traditions along with my beliefs, philosophies, observations and personal experiences afield to my children, grandchildren and generation to come as well. It is my hope they too find the joy, peace and meaning afield that I have tried to pass on to them through this endeavor. --Doug

Whisper Hollow, where spirits walk among the living, and the lake never gives up her dead...Fifteen years ago, I ran away from Whisper Hollow, Washington, a small town on the Olympic Peninsula. But truth is, if you were born here, you can never really leave. I'm Kerris Fellwater and when I returned, I not only inherited my grandmother's house, but her gift. Like her, I must take on the job of spirit shaman. It's my gift-and my curse-to drive the dead back to their graves, because around Whisper Hollow, people-and secrets-don't always stay buried.A trunk hidden in the attic throws my life into chaos. My mother vanished when I was little and I was told she ran away. But now it looks like she was murdered. With the help of Bryan-my mysterious and brooding neighbor-we begin to unravel the mystery of her disappearance, and in doing so, we unearth a dark force seeking to bury Whisper Hollow. Now, I must work with the dead, rather than against them, because our enemy will do whatever she can to destroy the town, and she means to start with me.Reading Order of Series:1. Autumn Thorns2.
