Due to the high prevalence of overweight and obesity in adolescents in our country, different studies have been done from the perspective of risk factors (type of locality of residence, welfare conditions, family history of obesity, physical activity, time in front of the screen), with this study we propose to evaluate the nutritional status and socioeconomic conditions in adolescents and compare it with the nutritional status presented at preschool age in a population of rural localities of the State of Mexico. A retrospective cross-sectional observational study was carried out, including 515 children from 27 localities distributed in three municipalities of the State of Mexico from a sample universe of 1740 preschoolers, of whom at least two anthropometric data of weight and height measured between the years 2002 - 2009 were available. For the final measurements, we worked with adolescents between 12 and 16 years of age, who had fathers, mothers or guardians present and obtained the following data: identification, housing characteristics, resources for family nutrition, parents' general data, postnatal information, etc.

Aufgrund der hohen Pr valenz von bergewicht und Adipositas im Jugendalter in unserem Land wurden verschiedene Studien unter dem Gesichtspunkt von Risikofaktoren (Art des Wohnortes, soziale Bedingungen, famili re Vorgeschichte von Adipositas, k rperliche Aktivit t, Bildschirmzeit) durchgef hrt. Diese Studie zielt darauf ab, den Ern hrungszustand und die sozio konomischen Bedingungen im Jugendalter zu bewerten und mit dem Ern hrungszustand von Vorschulkindern in l ndlichen Gemeinden des Bundesstaates Mexiko zu vergleichen. Es wurde eine retrospektive Querschnittsbeobachtungsstudie durchgef hrt, an der 515 Kinder aus 27 Ortschaften in drei Gemeinden des Bundesstaates Mexiko teilnahmen, die aus einer Grundgesamtheit von 1740 Vorschulkindern stammten, von denen mindestens zwei anthropometrische Daten zu Gewicht und Gr e, die zwischen 2002 und 2009 gemessen wurden, verf gbar waren. F r die endg ltigen Messungen arbeiteten wir mit Jugendlichen zwischen 12 und 16 Jahren, bei denen die Eltern oder Erziehungsberechtigten anwesend waren, und erfassten folgende Daten: Identifikation, Wohnungsmerkmale, Ressourcen f r die Ern hrung der Familie, allgemeine Daten ber die Eltern, Informationen ber die Zeit nach der Geburt und folgende Informationen.

Per le misurazioni finali, abbiamo lavorato con adolescenti di et compresa tra i 12 e i 16 anni, con la presenza dei genitori o dei tutori, ottenendo i seguenti dati: identificazione, caratteristiche abitative, risorse per l'alimentazione familiare, dati generali sui genitori, informazioni postnatali e le seguenti informazioni.

The aim of this book is to research comfort control inside buildings, and how this can be achieved through low energy consumption. It presents a comprehensive exploration of the design, development and implementation of several advanced control systems that maintain users' comfort (thermal and indoor air quality) whilst minimizing energy consumption. The book includes a detailed account of the latest cutting edge developments in this area, and presents several control systems based on Model Predictive Control approaches. Real-life examples are provided, and the book is supplemented by illustrations, tables, all of which facilitate understanding of the text. Energy consumption in buildings (residential and non-residential) represents almost the half of the total world energy consumption, and they are also responsible for approximately 35% of CO2 emissions. For these reasons, the reduction of energy consumption associated with the construction and use of buildings, and the increase of energy efficiency in their climatic refurbishment are frequently studied topics in academia and industry. As the productivity of users is directly related to their comfort, a middle ground needs to be found between comfort of users and energy efficiency. Over twenty-five years ago two Americans, Dr. Diana Frade and her husband, Episcopalian Bishop Leo Frade, founded Our Little Roses Home for Girls in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Until then abandoned girls were often given to prisoners since no such homes existed. Now Our Little Roses has some 60 rescued or orphaned girls in a city once considered the “murder capital of the world.” Poverty and violence—especially in the past 25 years attributed to deported Los Angeles–based gangs—has affected the lives of all in the poorest Spanish-speaking country of the hemisphere. Unaccompanied youth from Honduras were among the 100,000 refugees, which also included children and youth from El Salvador and Guatemala, arriving to the United States between 2013 and 2015. American poet and Episcopalian priest Spencer Reece spent two years at Our Little Roses teaching poetry to girls who have lost family due to poverty, violence, and disasters like Hurricane Mitch that struck Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatemala in 1998, resulting in 22,000 people dead or missing, 2.7 million homeless, and $6 billion in damages.This book has essays by Reece and Luis J. Rodríguez as a backdrop to the girls’ voices, and a foreword and afterword by poets Marie Howe and Richard Blanco. Luis and his wife Trini, a poet, teacher, and indigenous healer, also helped teach at Our Little Roses and the Holy Family Bilingual School inside a walled compound in one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods. The global medical process is a chain of different medical multidisciplinary procedures. The success in global Patient Safety will depend on the Safety of the consecutive medical processes that intervene in this complex system. Laboratory data is an essential part of health care, indeed it is used in 70% of clinical decisions. Inappropriate laboratory test over requesting is extremely frequent. The prevalence of under requesting has been less studied. The consequences of under requesting are clear, we are missing a diagnosis. Inappropriate over requesting can result not only in a problem of cost but also in a problem regarding patient safety. Additionally, another important consequence of inappropriate tests over requesting is that such amount of unnecessary tests has probably contributed to a significant increase in the volume of those over the last years. In all, there is general consensus that the inadequacy of test requesting must be corrected through strategies and monitored over time through indicators to assure the optimal laboratory contribution to clinical decision-making and patient safety.
