Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) is effectively a radio antenna technology as it uses multiple antennas at the transmitter or receiver to enable a variety of signal paths to carry the data by grabbing more than one signal, choosing separate paths for each antenna to enable multiple signal paths to be used. Giving benefits of reflected signals to provide improvements in channel robustness and throughput. Many wireless and RF technologies are using the new MIMO wireless technology to provide increased link capacity and spectral efficiency combined with improved link reliability. This book represents a design and investigation of 4-port multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with tri-band applications covering GSM, WiMAX and WLAN bands of modern wireless broadband communication.
Analysis and Design of Single Phase Bi-Directional Power Converter

Analysis and Design of Single Phase Bi-Directional Power Converter

Any equipment connected to an electricity distribution network usually needs some kind of power conditioning, which produces a non-sinusoidal line current due to the nonlinear input characteristic. With the steadily increasing use of such equipment, line current harmonics have become a significant problem. This book presents the approach to improve the power factor of single-phase rectifiers and to regulate the output voltage against the change in grid voltage and load. This converter topology is evaluated on its salient features like simplicity, low cost and high performance are discussed to analyze its applicability. The proposed control strategy is bridgeless, transformer-less and output current sensor-less and consists of only two Bi-directional IGBTs and two diodes. The voltage regulation is achieved by a simple voltage divider to communicate to a controller to control the duty cycles of pulse width modulated signal. The analysis is carried out using continues switching pulse width modulation (CSPWM) control strategy and Sinusoidal PWM technique. This book provides partial digital implementation. It removes the drawbacks of both full analog and full digital implementation.
Green Urinals

Green Urinals

Waterless Urinals do not require water for flushing and can be promoted at homes, institutions and public places to save water, energy and to harvest urine as a resource. Reduction in infrastructure required for water supply and waste water treatment is also a spinoff arising from installing waterless urinals. The concept, founded on the principles of ecological sanitation helps in preventing environmental damage caused by conventional flush sanitation systems. In recent years, Human Urine has been identified as a potential resource that can be beneficially used for agriculture and industrial purposes. Human urine contains significant portion of essential plant nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphate and potassium excreted by human beings.Urine and faeces can also be separated employing systems such as urine diverting toilets. In the light of diminishing world's phosphate and oil reserves which determine availability as well as pricing of mineral fertilizers, harvesting urine for reuse in agriculture assumes significant importance. Akin to the movement for harvesting rain water, urine harvesting is a concept which could have huge implications for resource conservation.

The Government of India has set up the Ministry of Panchayati Raj to attain decentralized & participatory local self-government through Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs). Village Development Planning (Smart village) refers to the process of identifying the pressing problems in a village and finding the best ways to solve them and in villages which have most of the basic amenities and facilities; it also means identifying the common aspirations of the residents and finding ways to achieve those. Present study gives proposal for rural development of the Khambale village by Government Schemes. Khambale is a Village in Trimbak Taluka in Nashik District of Maharashtra State, India. Belonging to Khandesh and Northern Maharashtra region. Khambale is located 38 KM towards west from District headquarter Nashik. The proposal is based on Special Schemes launched by Government of India for development of rural area with involvement of all stakeholders (Gramsabha members, Sarpanch, Gramsevak & Localities). The major problems identified in Khambale village are lack of Education facilities, Health Center, Safe drinking water, Employment, Community toilets.
ERP For Construction Site Management

ERP For Construction Site Management

A significant number of major construction companies embarked on the implementation of integrated information technology solutions such as enterprise resource planning ERP systems to better integrate various business functions. However, these integrated systems in the construction sector present a set of unique challenges, different from those in the manufacturing or other service sectors. There have been many cases of failure in implementing ERP systems in the past, so it is critical to identify and understand the factors that largely determine the success or failure of ERP implementation in the construction industry. The book identifies factors associated with the success and failure of ERP systems and develops a success model to analyze the relationships between key factors and the success of such systems. The goal of the ERP systems success model is to better evaluate, plan, implement & help senior managers make better decisions when considering ERP systems in their association.
Ergonomics in Dental Practice

Ergonomics in Dental Practice

"Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely an absence of disease or infirmity". The aims of occupational health are- the prevention of diseases and maintenance of the highest degree of physical, mental and social well-being of workers in all occupations. Occupational health and ergonomics (human engineering) are relatively new concepts. It simply means: "fitting the job to the worker". The object of ergonomics is "to achieve the best mutual adjustment of man and his work, for the improvement of human efficiency and well-being". Dental professionals commonly experience musculoskeletal pain during the course of their careers. While the occasional backache or neck ache is not a cause for alarm, if regularly occurring pain or discomfort is ignored, the cumulative physiological damage can lead to an injury or a career-ending disability. The concept of changes in dental practice by using new technologies and proper care by dentist give greater comfort and better occupational health. The aim is to discuss the ergonomic aspects in the dental profession and prevent of ergonomic risks and problems in Dental Practice.

Geology is the study of the Earth, the materials of which it is made, the structure of those materials, and the processes acting upon them. It includes the study of organisms that have inhabited our planet. An important part of geology is the study of how Earth's materials, structures, processes and organisms have changed over time.Even though 70% of the Earth's surface is water, there is crust under the water. The water sits on top of the crust The Earth's crust moves The continents have not always been arranged like they are today. The Earth's crust is divided into segments called plates.Geologists work to understand the history of our planet. The better they can understand Earth's history the better they can foresee how events and processes of the past might influence the future. A mineral is a naturally occurring inorganic substance (elements or compounds). A rock is a natural aggregate of minerals. The study of rocks (Igneous, Sedimentary, Metamorphic rocks) constitutes the science of petrology which consists of a study, by all available methods, of the natural history of rocks including their origin, present condition & alteration, decay etc.

Dental disease is a serious problem with universal distribution and affecting all age groups. Despite this universal distribution, only a few seek dental care. The most commonly reported barrier in utilization of dental services was low perceived need of the people, which calls for improving their awareness and motivating them to use the services available for them, so they can lead a socially and economically productive life. Many other factors have shown to restrict regular dental care such as dental fear, expense of dental care and socioeconomic factors.

Children with communication disorders have deficits in their ability to exchange information with others. A communication disorder may occur in the realm of language, speech and/or hearing. Language difficulties include spoken language, reading and/or writing difficulties. These children get insulated from social situations that would facilitate higher substance use.Children suffering from hearing impairment show oral manifestation of hypoplastic teeth. Autistic child suffer from oral habits such as bruxism, tongue thrusting. Most common oral manifestation of child with Down syndrome includes fissured tongue, angular cheilitis, delayed eruption of teeth, missing and malformed teeth, microdontia, crowding, malocclusion, poor oral hygiene. A pediatric dentist should not only be aware of the symptoms and problems associated with communication impairment, particularly when it relates to orofacial and dentofacial anomalies but also should know the appropriate dental treatment plan and the required behaviour modification techniques.
