Nobody chooses to have Type 1 Diabetes, so everyone with this condition should feel confident with themselves. That's why I decided to make this book. When I was diagnosed with T1D I was really scared and overwhelmed. But after a few days I became more fearless and felt empowered and secure. So, I wrote "From My Eyes" with the hope to help kids (like me) understand how to manage diabetes easily and feel more comfortable and not be so scared and overwhelmed.

Allie, troubled by daily life, tries a myriad of ways to distract herself from facing crucial family responsibilities. Living in denial, she makes up stupid stuff in her mind and plays games with life. She is jerked to attention when she meets a handsome middle-aged gentleman. That is when the real game begins.
These poems are a lifetime collection of work through the pain, sorrow and joy of life. When difficulties arise, nothing helps ease the growth like words selected as nuggets which are often effective at condensing one day's worth of musings to a single thought.
