"M moire Pour Le Comte De Cagliostro Accus " offers a fascinating glimpse into the life and times of Alessandro di Cagliostro, a controversial figure who captivated and confounded 18th-century Europe. Presented as a memoir, this account provides Cagliostro's own perspective on the events and accusations that surrounded him, shedding light on his alleged involvement in scandals and his purported mastery of the occult. This historical document is invaluable for anyone interested in the social, political, and intellectual climate leading up to the French Revolution. Cagliostro's story provides a unique lens through which to examine the era's fascination with mysticism, the anxieties of the aristocracy, and the growing unrest among the common people. Explore the enigmatic world of a man who was either a charlatan or a visionary-or perhaps, a complex combination of both. Machiavelli and Political Conspiracies

Machiavelli and Political Conspiracies

The theme of conspiracy is central to Machiavelli's writing. His work offers observations and analysis of conspiracy as part of the armoury of the Renaissance politician. Surprisingly, the theme has not yet received the attention it merits. This volume corrects an interpretation which reduces Machiavelli's position to one of censorious observer of conspiracies. Quite to the contrary, as Campi demonstrates, Machiavelli developed an anatomy of conspiracy and provided a practical manual for coup d'état" and violent seizure of power.

In recent years visual devices have proliferated, from the massive high-resolution, high-contrast screens to the tiny ones on mobile phones, with their limited dynamic range and color gamut. The wide variety of screens on which content may be viewed creates a challenge for developers. Adapting visual content for optimized viewing on all devices is called retargeting. This is the first book to provide a holistic view of the subject, thoroughly reviewing and analyzing the many techniques that have been developed for retargeting along dimensions such as color gamut, dynamic range, and spatial resolution.
