The aim of this book is to introduce to birds through entertainment and education. Having fun with birds in these twelve humorous, catchy and 'crazy' short stories will hopefully cement an impression in the mind of each child that will remain with them as they develop and grow. I have observed that reading to small children is most important and that it can sow a seed for the future. When children are older and can read for themselves they can then enjoy the 'crazy' stories and discover some interesting facts about a 'real' bird that is related to the fictitious one. This introduction to birds will hopefully encourage children and parents alike to seek and discover more about the large range of birds species that Australia and this planet of ours, have to offer.Since relocating from Coleraine in Western Victoria to Mackay in North Central Queensland in 1996, I soon discovered a diverse range of habitats including bushland, wetland, rainforest and beaches, all within an eighty-kilometer radius of the town. Of the many bird species that I've observed here, I selected twelve to feature in this book.
This book is a collection of stories written in rhyming verse. They are snapshots of my life until aged forty two, when in 1997 I left Victoria for Queensland with my wife and daughter.Born and raised in the Western Victorian town of Coleraine, this account should offer something for everyone and in particular those who grew up in small country towns.You will find the makeup of my first book of stories, covers topics of all kinds. I knew what I did would have consequences. I didn't realize it would bring the doom of the world. The president of the university isn't happy with me. Neither is the whole Living government, apparently. This book "Hell is Real, A Diary of Visions & Hope" is about many of the true to life and factual experiences that other individuals and I have had since 1974, in regards to visions, stories of hope, and most of all, about God's precious gift of eternal life that we can all have through his one and only son Jesus Christ our Lord. It is my hope that after reading this book, and the many passages of scripture from the Bible that are written within it, that you will come to understand that we are indeed living in the last days right before Jesus returns for his Church, that Heaven and Hell are not some fictionist or made up place but rather are very real, that Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Angel's, Demon's, and the Devil do also exist and are very much real, and that man does indeed have a soul that will feel, think, and live forever once a person's body ceases to exist in this temporal world of ours as we know it. I also pray, that your life will be touched, and that you will come to understand that in spite of all we go through on our pilgrimage through this Earth, that Jesus will always be there to help as well as save all of those who call upon his precious and wonderful name.Daryl J.
