Many have learnt them by heart, since the style of schlokas is unique, easy, beautiful and simple, though artistic and meaningful. Manache Shlok teaches your mind to change yourself gradually. The great saint Samartha Ramdas teaches us to have dialogue with our own mind. Your own mind is your friend, your enemy and your own mind can be also your Guru. Find out the reasons of your anger, jealousy, greed, sorrow, depression, fear, because these are the negative emotions, which you have to face constantly in your life. Convince your mind with Ramdas's words as he says, "O you, my coward mind, why are you afraid of worldly sorrows? Get rid of fear and hold courage".

Who defines who we are and what we can do? Who do we allow to name us? When the loss of her eyesight at six years old engulfed her world in darkness, Geeta began to define herself by her limitations. But through walking with a limitless God, she undertook a journey of redemption and healing, learning that God has the final say on how He can use our lives for His Kingdom. This book is an invitation to explore how God's power can restore brokenness in our identity, circumstances, traumas, and disabilities-so that we are free to live in freedom, knowing who God says we are.

This monograph presents new results on the analysis and design of control of discrete-time linear dynamical systems using sparse actuator control. Sparsity constraints on control inputs arise naturally in the inputs of several linear systems due to limited resources such as computational power, energy, and communication bandwidth, or the underlying physics. The monograph deals with two types of sparsity constraints: time-varying and time-invariant supported sparse control inputs. It first provides a detailed theoretical discussion on controllability under sparsity constraints, including algebraic necessary and sufficient conditions for ensuring controllability. Several related formulations, covering stabilizability, output controllability, and nonnegative controllability under sparsity constraints, are also presented. Further, for sparsely controllable systems, the monograph describes two efficient, systematic, and rigorous approaches to designing sparse control inputs: compressed sensing algorithms and spare actuator scheduling algorithms. Overall, the concepts covered in the monograph provide various sparsity models, algorithms, and analysis tools that are readily accessible to systems and control, signal processing, and applied mathematics readers.
The characters in this romantic short story collection brush aside the niceties of life and unravel the feminine ambition, desire, passion, love and longing. The protagonist--Rakhee in the story - Once is Not Enough somewhere nudges the understanding about love--that it's complicated and isn't always about being in love. She loves both the men in her life. Will she make a choice? Is she ready to make this life-changing decision? In The Singer-young Bhavna, blinded by her ambition, agreed to marry wealthy Ajit because she knew that her music career would burgeon with him as her partner. And it did, but she was not happy. And as she grows older, she longs for someone to give her attention; to love her. She misses being a woman. After all--we are what we are because of the choices that we make In the story The Birthday Cake, a little boy shares his heart-wrenching experience during the present-day global crises. While Lonely Footsteps is about love, family secrets and tragedy, My Father is about the complex issue of caste, politics, love and acceptance of the breakdown of the gentle mental fabric--the ghost prints left by grief and loss. The stories in the collection are all about love, unrequited love, madness, delusion, loss, loneliness, dilemma, and of course, family. At every step, the characters are tested and tempted by love and fire-like passions that they find so difficult to deny.
The poems in the book, Songs of the Crystal Bird reflect fragile emotions and strong memories. Geeta Madhavan has been inspired by the experiences of friends, strangers, and random persons. These poems are pensive, passionate, euphoric and sorrowful. This book has mystical poems, poems of betrayal and poems of hope of which some are cheerful and some are dark. The poems carry powerful imageries of Nature and bold emotions. They deal with various subjects: love, gender, mysticism, esotericism and terrorist violence. These poems are reflective of the times we live in.
