God is real, alive, and very active in the lives of people all across the Earth today. He has invited us to come boldly into His presence to make our needs and petitions known to Him. He is able to make a way where there is no way today as much as ever. My wife, Angie, and I have always believed that and determined from the beginning of our marriage that we would look to God first in every situation we faced. Our desire was to experience God stories so our lives would glorify Him and be a living testimony of His greatness in a world that attempts to undermine faith in God.This book chronicles the most obvious and amazing answers to prayer in our lives so far. Of course, we know that there are many more stories that are equally important but more mundane and ordinary. He has healed us to the amazement of the doctors involved. He has worked miracles of provision in our lives. He has protected us and guided our steps. He has been the Great Shepherd in our lives Our hope is that this book will inspire you to carry all your needs to Him in prayer and live in expectation of His divine activity in your life. He wants to make your life a living testimony as well. We hope you will be inspired to recognize the God stories in your own life and build a legacy of faith that is passed on to your children and grandchildren.

A Particle of Dread

A Particle of Dread

In A Particle of Dread, Sam Shepard takes one of the most famous plays in history--Oedipus Rex--and transforms it into a modern American classic. In this telling, Oedipus, King of Thebes, prophesized to kill his father and marry his mother, alternates between his classical identity and that of contemporary "Otto." His wife (and true mother), Jocasta, is also called Jocelyn, and his antagonist (and true father) is split into three characters, Laius, Larry, and Langos. Two present-day policemen from the Southwest stand in for the Greek chorus as they investigate the murder case. Dazzlingly inventive, ringing with the timelessness of myth, A Particle of Dread is an unforgettable work that grapples with questions of storytelling and destiny--the narratives that we pass down, and how they shape our lives. It is a play that lingers in the mind long after we finish the last scene.
A Gentle Introduction to Statistical Methods for Analyzing Brain Signals
This short book will discuss the crucial role that statistical modelling plays in unravelling patterns arising from recording neuronal cell activities (spikes). The history of modern neuroscience coincides with the rise and popularity of statistical thought process – dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. As such, and from early on, spike trains (incidence of spiking activities, mapped out on a time scale), have been viewed as realizations of point processes. Consequently, the advancement of new means of recording spike trains, such as simultaneous recordings of multiple cells, has radically increased the demand for appropriate statistical analysis, whether through developing theoretical bases for multivariate stochastics processes, or via expanding the tools for capturing the networking of adjacent neurons.
