Imperturbabil, şi-a ntrerupt lectura, a răspuns şi, din ce-a spus, am dedus că e vorba de-o urgenţă veterinară undeva se nt mpla ceva, se chinuia să fete o vacă - dacă nu mă nşeală memoria - şi gospodarul avea nevoie de-o consiliere, pe care poetul i-a şi dat-o pe loc. După alte două-trei poeme splendide, iarăşi mobilul: o altă posibilă nenorocire de şeptel se isca altundeva şi era nevoie de intervenţia, măcar telefonică, a specialistului. Ceea ce s-a şi petrecut. Mărturisesc că, dincolo de hazul nebun al faptului n sine, m-a emoţionat această fortuită mpletire de teluric şi spiritualitate, de concreteţe şi evanescent: din sferele ei nalte, miraculoase, poezia era silită să revină cu picioarele pe păm nt, probabil pe podeaua unui grajd, unde, de fapt, se năştea un alt miracol, cel al unei fiinţe vii. Ioan Groşan Alexa Gavril B le este un poet al rezonanţelor lirice, pe care le nt lnim doar n autenticul poeziei. Stilistica sa se află n congruenţă cu substanţa epică revendicată, n mod organic şi obligatoriu, de lecţia poemului. Este şi inovator şi conservator, totodată. Poartă cu sine at t decenţa expresiei, c t şi formulări inedite, pe deplin justificate n contextul nnoirilor poetice. O văd ca pe un vitraliu epic, n care fiecare bucată (bucăţică) prozastică şi are culoarea şi locul ei precise, form nd prin alăturare şi complementaritate imaginea finală a unui spaţiu, a unei lumi: lumea satului maramureşean (mai precis: a satului din zona Lăpuşului), cu nt mplările, cu poveştile, cu dramele lui de ieri şi de azi, cu personajele sale specifice, cu lirismul, umorul şi cinismele sale. n limitele (etno") pe care şi le impune autorul, cel puţin una din aceste povestiri se apropie de statutul de capodoperă. Mă refer la Alte zile, alte rosturi" (titlu ce trimite la romanul lui Truman Capote, Alte glasuri, alte ncăperi), unde un bătr n văduv, a cărui principală ndeletnicire este să facă coşuri din nuiele mpletite, şi pune la un moment dat ntrebarea ce lasă el n urmă, cu ce va răm ne n memoria satului, ce trebuie să facă să se vorovească" despre el ca despre alţii. Şi ce soluţie - splendidă - găseşte? Va mpleti un coş. Iată ce va face Un coş mare, mare de tot. Uriaş. C t o casă. Un coş cum n-a mai făcut nimeni de c nd i lumea asta." N-o să dezvălui n aceste r nduri dinainte ce s-a nt mplat cu coşul şi cu moşul: mă mărginesc să spun că acest text, ca şi altele, de altfel, e plin de o melancolie grea, bine stăp nită, o nostalgie de mare fineţe după un sat şi o lume definitiv pierdute. Se cuvine pomenit şi un alt fapt remarcabil: deşi cartea abundă n regionalisme, nu-ţi trebuie un dicţionar pentru a nţelege sensul lor: ele sunt n aşa fel plasate n text, nc t nsuşi contextul n care apar te lămureşte despre ce e vorba: termeni ca durături," custură," fuştei" a arădui," incomprehensibili pentru un, să zicem, bucureştean, şi luminează nţelesul atunci c nd e descris procesul de fabricare a unui coş de nuiele, n povestirea amintită mai sus. Există puţine descripţii de natură. Ele sunt succinte, esenţializate, parcă retezate cu secera, asta fiindcă naratorul mprumută mult din interioritatea personajelor sale, le locuieşte" prin monolog transcris liber; or, ţăranul n-are timp să privească, să contemple sadovenian spectacolul naturii: Secetă mare. Primăvară timpurie. Pe c mp iarba năclăită boleşte veştedă. Gr iele, gălbejite de frig. Holdele uscate, decojite de ger. Pojghiţa făcută de ngheţ ridicase rădăcinile plantelor n sus." De altfel, se vede că autorul cunoaşte la perfecţie universul nfăţişat şi, mai mult, şi iubeşte personajele care-l populează. Iar reciproca e şi ea valabilă... Concluziv, America de dincolo de gard" e o carte care l impune pe Alexa Gavril B le printre cele mai valoroase voci epice de azi. Ioan Groşan
