I was inspired from childhood by the beautiful shapes and sizes of the armors and weapons of warriors around the world and the many ways metals, cloth and leather after the hand of man became great works of art and functionality. Together with the new AI revolution of images being generated just using words I wanted to share a shared vision of mine and the AI of the wonderful realm of architecture through a coloring book. Inside you will find knights, spartans, centurions, vikings, samurai, tribal warriors and even fantasy inspired fighters. My best wished to you all is to be inspired as I was and find a realm of fantasy and happiness.

"Coloring the Ages" is a series of coloring books with a twist - it includes a miscellany of illustrations from the 'Spirit of the Ages' Museum that have been specially selected and introduced to take the colorist through the history of printed illustrations in the West. Volume One of "Coloring the Ages" measures 8.5 x 11", extends beyond 80 pages and includes - in addition to the illustrated Title Page - 20 designs to challenge and inspire colorists. Reconnect with a tradition of hand-coloring printed illustrations that was a feature of printed books and print-making from the 15th Century to the early-20th Century and become immersed in the stories behind the works as you revive the art of enhancing monotone images with your own palettes. Volume One of "Coloring the Ages" provides you (as the colorist) with the opportunity to create your own colored interpretation of illustrations from seminal works, including "Liber Chronicarum" ("The Nuremberg Chronicle"), Sebastian Brant's "Da Narrenschyff ad Narrigoniam" ("Ship of Fools"), "Der Wei Kunig", Vergil's "Aeneid", "The Dance of Death", "Cosmographia", Dante Alighieri's "La Divina Commedia" ("The Divine Comedy"), Richard Wagner's "Lohengrin", "East of the Sun and West of the Moon" and "Tales from Shakespeare". Along this path, you will also encounter a few tales with which you may not be so familiar as you blend your own approaches with works from famous artists of the Renaissance and the Golden Age of Illustration including: Albrecht D rer; the Master of the Gr ninger Workshop; Hans Holbein the Younger; David Kandel; Pieter Bruegel the Elder; Franz Hogenberg; Gustave Dor ; Arthur Rackham; Sidney H Sime; Reginald Knowles; Edmund Dulac; Vernon Hill; Willy Pog ny; Kay Nielsen; Harry Clarke; Frank C Pap ; and Dugald Walker. Regardless of whether you choose to follow the lead of colorists of "The Nuremberg Chronicle" - as show on the cover - or you follow your own path, making your way through Volume One of "Coloring the Ages" will be a delightful journey.

Winner, 2025 National Association for Chicana and Chicano Studies Book Award Winner, 2024 ILBA Gold Medal, "Best LGBTQ+ Themed Book," given by the International Latino Book Awards Winner, 2024 ILBA Silver Medal, "The Raul Yzaguirre Best Political/Current Affairs Book," given by the International Latino Book Awards Argues that queer picture books with main characters of color can disrupt structures of power in both literature and real life Coloring into Existence investigates the role of authors, illustrators, and independent publishers in producing alternative narratives that disrupt colonial, heteropatriarchal notions of childhood. These texts or characters unsettle the category of the child, and thus pave the way for broader understandings of childhood. Often unapologetically politically motivated, queer and trans of color picture books can serve as the basis for fantasizing about disruptions to structures of power, both within and outside literary worlds. Fusing literary criticism and close readings with historical analysis and interviews, Isabel Millán documents the emergence of a North American queer of color children's literary archive. In doing so, she considers the sociopolitical circumstances out of which queer of color children's literature emerged; how a queer and trans of color aesthetic translates to picture books; and how the acts of imagination and worldmaking inspired by picture books produce a realm of freedom, healing, and transformation for queer and trans of color children and adults. Coloring into Existence explores the curious ways that queer and trans of color publications "color outside the lines"—refusing to conform to industry standards, intermixing fiction with nonfiction, and mobilizing alternative modes of production and distribution to create new worlds.
