My "Mess of a Marriage" to My Message: Who knew... that night I'd find out that my husband had defrauded me!
On her wedding night, Janice Fletcher learned that she had been defrauded by her husband. New author, Janice Fletcher takes you on a journey of heartbreak, despair and disappointment, which she began to journal during her ten-month marriage for her own personal insights. Her journaling led to revelation, which led to her "Revision Decision", and ultimately to her memoir, MY "MESS OF A MARRIAGE" TO MY MESSAGE. Thus, Janice Fletcher's memoir reflects on the "mess of a marriage" that this sexual and financial fraud created, but its message for the reader, married or single, is how to reach a "Revision Decision" for your own personal trials. Her entries are raw and honest; she doesn't hold back on her testimony

If you are about to read this book, read this book as if it is talking straight to you You were meant to read this true story.I am writing this book at a later age in my life. I have wanted to come out with my story so many times but didn't want to be known as someone that was crazy As my life has continued I know that I was meant to write this book for people to know the truth, and share my experience as I remember it. God wants me to share with people as there are so many people out there that wonder instead of just know and believe that God your creator does exist. The pictures that I share inside this book are what I remember seeing, or an example of what I did experience. I added pictures of myself also when I was very young and was in almost fatal accident. I was in Harbor View medical center for a month. I had many surgeries during that month I was in the hospital and a couple surgeries after I had been released. So all pictures of the person in the hospital bed are actual pictures of myself, so you have proof, instead of someone just telling you they had an accident I wanted to share as much of my experience so you could see and possibly feel some of what I went thru as a child. I also want to share why it is so important to watch your children close and know where they are and what they are doing If you are a child reading this book I want you to know how important it is to follow the rules that are given to you by an responsible parent, I say it that way because I know that some parents are not exactly great examples now days and do drugs and don't always set the best example for their children. If you are a younger person reading this book, and don't exactly like your parents guidance and feel it is not what you would want to be as a parent, there is hope and God is there for you Written by: Janice L. Today, too many of our young people, especially African-American males are dying by the hands of police officers. There has been too much pain resonating through families, communities, and this nation. Our goal should be to eradicate this violence and bring our children home alive.Hands Up focuses on one strategy that parents and educators can teach children to come home alive. Our children need to be taught this strategy because a caring adult will not always be there to protect them.It has become evident that police officers throughout this nation could benefit from more training. Let us not forget to train our children and the best place to begin is in the home. Parents, teach your children this strategy and, no, it is not a guarantee to be safe in these incidents, however it could render hope to parents and children. to increase the efforts and faith for our children to come home alive. Hands Up can be a beginning.

Receiving bad news is difficult for anyone, but to hear that you have a life-threatening disease that could alter your life forever, can be overwhelming. Janice Harris knew something was wrong when she found an unusual looking bump on her femur, but she was totally not expecting to hear the word "cancer". She had been a Born-Again Christian and minister for many years, and knew about faith and prayer. However, the news that she had cancer would challenge that faith in many ways. Although she had plans to work several more years before retiring, her life and career came to a halt. In Through the Fire, she tells her story of survival, and the miracle she received. She gives inspiration to anyone dealing with life's most difficult trials and circumstances. She also takes the reader through her journey of many emotions and struggles, and shows how she was determined to depend on her faith in God to bring her through it. Many people give up while facing tough situations. Others struggle to find answers as to why they are going through, become bitter and angry at God, and at life itself. In this story, you will be inspired to hold on despite what you are going through. In her book, she mentions people who she considers "cheerleaders," those who were physically present during her battle with cancer, but she understands she also could not have made it without many others such as her younger sisters, Geneva and Carla, who strengthened her with their frequent phone calls, prayer and spiritual encouragement. Through the Fire, will leave you with hope. It will inspire you to believe in the power of prayer. It will also encourage you to trust and have faith in God.
The Cosmos of Khnumhotep II at Beni Hasan
First published in 1999. High in a cliff at the remote site of Beni Hasan in Middle Egypt, thirty-nine ancient tombs line a narrow ledge above the Nile River. These tombs were cut into the rock face, with pillars of living rock often left standing inside the echoing chambers. The tomb of Khnumhotep II dates to the early 12th Dynasty, primarily to the reign of Amenemhet II. The owner was a high official of the ancient administrative area in which Beni Hasan was located, the Oryx (XVIth Upper Egyptian) none or province. His primary title was Overseer of the Eastern Desert, a title which he held from Year 19 of Amenemhet II (c. 1910 B.C.) until at least Year 6 of Senwosret II (c. 1891 B.C.). This monument is the latest of the large Beni Hasan tombs, and represents the culmination of the series. The detailed analysis of this complex tomb necessarily comprises most of this volume.
World-Shaped Mission

World-Shaped Mission

In the past, world mission in the Church of England largely meant working through independent Anglican agencies such as CMS and USPG. Today, the picture is very different. Many dioceses and even some parishes have their own companion links with partner churches in the Anglican Communion and there have been major shifts in the way that mission itself is understood. The distinction between ‘home’ and ‘world’ mission is blurred, and separating ‘mission’ from ‘development’ is no longer straightforward. Christian Aid, Tearfund and other agencies are now part of the wider pattern, and much of the church’s mission now involves close working with other denominations. It is clear that the way we talk about world mission needs to develop. This landmark study is the result of a three year project by the Mission and Public Affairs Division of the Archbishops' Council to ‘develop a new, better, narrative of mission’ for the church. It is the fruit of close consultation with mission and development agencies, dioceses and others engaged in mission activity. World Shaped Mission will reconfigure the way the church talks about, and practices, mission in the world today.

Dance Composition: An Interrelated Arts Approach helps students investigate dance movement from a multidisciplinary perspective—something that no other dance text or package does. This interactive package contains a book, music CD, and companion Web site with these features:- 28 improvisational exercises that provide perspective on the shared characteristics among the arts for inspiration and motivation for dance making- 6 in-depth interviews and 24 arts connections that highlight artists from disciplines and cultures around the world- 3 independent dance projects that encompass numerous elements: music, composition, story adaptation, costumes and props, artist's statements, and reflections on the creative processThe exercises examine traditional and contemporary art forms from around the world and explore ways to physically interpret what is heard, seen, spoken, and emoted through movement experimentation. Through these exercises, students observe a concept, explore it by working independently and watching others, and reflect on it with others. They then create and present a choreographic work based on their explorations and reflections. The choreography is discussed in a final group reflection and personal journal entries in which students can document their findings for future use. The interviews and arts connections will expand students' vision and appreciation of artistic commonalities that exist among dance, music, theater, visual arts, and literary arts. The music CD, which is bound into the book, contains original compositions that enrich dance exercises and movement exploration assignments. Created by percussionist and electroacoustic composer Barry Prophet, the selections cover a range of styles and dynamics, including rhythmic percussion, jazz, world music, minimalist soundscapes, and textural atmospheres. The illustrations and photographs in the book provide a starting point for artistic awareness of elements common among the arts. Many of these visual images are available on the companion Web site. To help students and teachers incorporate technology in their creative process, this Web site also provides access to music software, instructions on creating computer-assisted music, a journal entry handout for each activity, self-assessment handouts, and rubrics. No other art form interacts so pervasively with the other arts than dance. Dance Composition: An Interrelated Arts Approach will help students from secondary school through university levels create artistic work that inspires and empowers both performers and viewers.
Clinical Mechanics and Kinesiology

Clinical Mechanics and Kinesiology

Clinical Mechanics and Kinesiology provides a solid foundation so that students of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and athletic training can understand biomechanics and functional anatomy as they relate to both normal and abnormal movement. Written by active clinicians with more than 40 combined years of clinical and teaching experience, this text is also a practical reference for rehabilitation professionals working with a range of populations and pathologies. Taking a clinical approach not found in other texts, Clinical Mechanics and Kinesiology follows a logical progression that maximizes learning. It first presents biomechanical principles that students must understand in order to examine and treat clients and patients undergoing rehabilitation. Next, it explores muscle and nerve physiology and function of the muscle and joint systems. Then the focus shifts to applying those concepts to specific joints. Divided into 10 regions, each joint is evaluated by the bones that make up the joints; the joint articulation, anatomy, and function; and the muscles that act on the joints. In the final section of the text, students gain insight into full-body movement patterns of particular concern to rehabilitation specialists. They will examine not only the usual topics of posture and walking gait but also running gait and the mechanics of jumping and cutting-some of the most common sources of injury. Clinical Mechanics and Kinesiology is enhanced with over 360 pieces of full-color art. Unique combination figures integrate detailed bone illustrations and photos. Medical art displays locations of bones, muscles, and ligaments. Arthrokinematic motions are clearly shown with the appropriate skeletal locations, making it easy for students to see how a particular motion relates to the rest of the body. Several other features also aid in students’ learning and retention: • Clinical Correlations included in each chapter help students increase their understanding of biomechanics and kinesiology and apply the theoretical content to clinical practice. • Problem Sets and Practice It sidebars with activities in chapters 1 and 2 assist students in applying and mastering biomechanical concepts. • Pedagogical aids such as chapter objectives and conclusions, key points, glossary terms, and review questions highlight important information so students can quickly grasp and review the main points. In addition, instructors will have online access to an instructor guide, image bank, and test package. The instructor guide further encourages students’ learning by offering class assignments and lab activities not featured in the book. The class assignments, at least three per chapter, are quick activities that can be completed in class. The lab activities are longer assignments intended to be completed outside the classroom by pairs of students. Each lab contains an overview, a statement of purpose, a list of equipment needed, and instruction on data collection and analysis. Written for students and practitioners of rehabilitation programs, Clinical Mechanics and Kinesiology provides a foundation in kinesiology reinforced by numerous clinically applicable examples. Students will gain a strong understanding of mechanical principles governing human motion, with particular knowledge of both normal and abnormal functional motions, and be able to apply their knowledge directly to rehabilitation protocols.
