Scholarly research investigating the venturing processes by entrepreneurial teams (ETs) is relatively recent and characterized by specific and limited areas of attention. Although the authors build on earlier contributions, Entrepreneurial Teams: An Input-Process-Outcome Framework takes a nuanced view of the phenomenon. First it offers a comprehensive understanding of the construct `entrepreneurial team’ by focusing on its definition and characteristics. Second, it depicts team evolution phases, from inception to maturity, linking these to firm performance by using a process approach (i.e., Input-Process-Outcome).Entrepreneurial Teams: An Input-Process-Outcome Framework is structured as follows. First, it outlines the methodology used to search the relevant literature on the topic and to create meaningful thematic clusters. Second, it presents the previous reviews on ETs and illustrate how this monograph can be differentiated from these. Third, it focuses on the ambiguity of the definition of ETs in previous research, providing its own definition of ETs and identifying areas for future development. Fourth, it presents an in-depth analysis of the 14 thematic clusters identified according to the Input-Process-Outcome framework. In each cluster, the authors review the state of the art on the topic, highlighting limitations and shortcomings. For `inputs,’ they review papers dealing with individual/team characteristics and ET formation. For `processes,’ they review papers dealing with development and turnover in ETs, ETs and cognition, interactions in ETs, ETs and networks, and, finally, ETs and governance/organization, strategies, and opportunity identification. For `outcomes,’ they review papers dealing with ETs and new firm creation, legitimacy, fundraising, public support, internationalization, and performance. It concludes by identifying opportunities for further research and offers some suggestions on how to contribute to the state of the art of literature.

The power exercised by the mother on the son in Mediterranean cultures has been amply studied. Italy is a special case in the Modern Era and the phenomenon of Mammismo italiano is indeed well known. Scholars have traced this obsession with the mother figure to the Catholic cult of the Virgin Mary, but in fact, it is much more ancient. What has not been adequately addressed however, is how Mammismo italiano has been manifested in complex ways in various modern artistic forms. Portrait of the Artist and His Mother in Twentieth-Century Italian Culture focuses on case studies of five prominent creative personalities, representing different, sometimes overlapping artistic genres (Luigi Pirandello, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Dino Buzzati, Carlo Levi, Federico Fellini). The author examines how the mother-son relationship not only affected, but actually shaped their work. Although the analysis uses mainly a psychological and psychoanalytical critical approach, the belief of the author, substantiated by some historians, anthropologists and sociologists, is that historical and cultural conditions contributed to and reinforced the Italian character. The book concludes with an analysis of some examples of Italian film comedies, such as Fellini's and Monicelli's where mammismo/vitellonismo is treated with a lighter tone and a pointed self irony.

The next barrier consists in reversing and stopping the process of aging. Aging is a very costly disease, and there is nothing desirable about any condition associated with aging or sickness. We are striving for a healthy, long life, full of vigor, achievements, and excitements.This book explains the seven pillars that age and dying are resting on, and ways to prevent every one of them from manifesting. If we understand how we age and why, we can intervene at different points to prevent and break this cycle. The natural cell cycle of age and atrophy of cells is discussed. Different pathways that lead to cancers, "zombie" or senescent cells are discussed with ways to prevent them. Then the powerhouse of the cell is discussed in detail, with ways of strengthening and protecting it. This powerhouse is viewed by many scientists as the kernel where diseases do originate. Also, toxin accumulation inside the cells is discussed, with ways of helping the cells get rid of the overload. Toxin accumulation between the cells is discussed, as well as the relationship between the autoimmune disease and gut health. Nothing As We Need It: A Chimera imagines and writes a composite and impure form of criticism that embodies the writing of research as recursive, entangled, and many-voiced.Shaped by encounters with literature not translated in English, by the polyphonies, artifices, and concealments of a bilingual self, and by the sense of speechlessness and haunting when writing of works that cannot be instantly quoted, this book's subtitle derives from the mythological Chimera: a monstrous creature made of three different parts, impossible in theory but real in the imagination and in the reading of the myth. Similarly the book is written in different styles, some of which may seem impossible, monstrous, and disturbing. It manifests critical writing as enmeshment and conversation with its subject matters; favours impurity rather than detachment; embraces exaggeration, repetition, laughter, and self-parody as legitimate forms of knowledge. Yet a chimera also designates the object of a yearning deemed unattainable: this book exists in the space of such yearning, in the tension between words and what exceeds them, their overtones. The critic is exhausted by yearning, rather than the owner of exhaustive knowledge.A Menippean satire for critical writing, Nothing As We Need It sustains its argument for composite and impure writing in its form. It demands ways of reading equally varied, and wildly imaginative. Listening to literature beyond the limits of textual analysis, it dismisses the visual implications of reflection, which assumes detachment and polished surfaces, in favour of an aural method of resonance, allowing enmeshment and interference.
