Fergus, the cartoon horse with an international following – now a bona fide social media star – is back! Following up the immensely popular 2015 release of the rollicking comic-strip treasury The Essential Fergus the Horse, this new book explores the rise and mass acceptance of natural horsemanship training techniques via a comical conversation between Fergus and 'The Lad', a young boy who is determined to ride him. Hilariously expressive illustrations and clever verse depict the dialogue between horse and human as The Lad maintains his amiable approach, regardless of Fergus' doubtful reactions and claim of equine superiority. Both endlessly entertaining and intentionally educational, Fergus: A Horse to Be Reckoned With is certain to inspire laughter in adult readers while making a positive impression on young, would-be equestrians.

Hundreds of years after the classic tale The Night Before Christmas was first published, Fergus, the world's most popular cartoon horse, shares his own holiday adventure in the skies. And a very different sort of escapade it is! Accompanied by his team of faithful equine friends (and a familiar merry coachman clothed in red and white), Fergus bravely bounds from rooftop to rooftop–with only the occasional crash, bumble, and stumble along the way. But when he and his motley hitch of horses seem destined to botch the most important night of the year, the fate of a sleigh-load of Christmas presents (literally) hangs in the air. What will it take to secure Santa's precious load and get the goodies down the chimney in time? From the jingle-jangle of the harness to the occasional buck from behind, Fergus's newest exploits are hilarious holiday fun for all. Recommended for ages 5 to 95.

Fergus McCann Versus David Murray charts the changing fortunes of Glasgow's two great footballing rivals as shaped by two business moguls. Both men came to prominence in the 1990s when new methods of governance and finance were taking hold of football. At the start of the decade, under Murray's chairmanship, Rangers were the dominant force and the club went on to win a record-equalling nine consecutive league titles. Their success, however, was built on an extravagant spending strategy, which caused a financial catastrophe. Celtic, by contrast, were struggling in the early 1990s, thanks to a complacent and nepotistic board of directors. But McCann took charge of the club in 1994 and turned things around. The new owner left Parkhead having won the league, rebuilt the stadium and left his shares in the hands of supporters. It was Murray, however, who was lauded in the media throughout his tenure at Ibrox, while McCann was chastised. Ultimately, though, their legacies would be utterly different from those misleading media portrayals.
