A is for ache. C is for choice. H is for his. E is for Everly. I have always gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to my personal life. Drug-addicted mother, obsessive stepfather, shitty upbringing, and one soul shattering, heart-wrenching relationship. But everything changed when I met Alec Prescott. I couldn't stand the cocky hotshot lawyer at first, but after assisting him on one case, my opinion changed drastically. He became the beginning I so desperately needed, even if romantic relations at work are completely forbidden. Unfortunately, falling in love with a co-worker is the least of my problems. Funny thing about the past, it's never truly far away. No matter how fast you run from it, or how hard you try to suppress it, it's there, lingering like a fog, blinding your vision, impacting your decisions, affecting your life. That's where Tage Andrews comes in. He's the heartache I can never outrun. The man who saved me from my past all while pillaging my emotions. I want to avoid reliving it-avoid him-but he's always there, lingering like a fog, blinding my vision, impacting my decisions, affecting my life. This is my paradoxical predicament. Two men. One choice. Inevitable heartbreak. A.C.H.E. is an angsty, fast-paced, romantic suspense with m nage themes. Reader discretion is advised. (less)

In 2013, management expert Christopher Whipple published his first book, A.C.T. NOW or Fail In this book, he introduced business leaders to an entirely new management system capable of completely transforming an organization. In this book, Whipple presented 10 fundamental requirements that he insists form the foundation of all organizations. Within this framework, he also established the concept of an ACE, i.e., an "Advanced Corporate Executive," defined as someone who fully understands the principles of this breakthrough management system. Since publication of A.C.T. NOW or Fail , however, Whipple began to observe that an ACE is so much more. A true ACE, he has concluded, is a "transformed employee who practices the most beneficial management tools." Thus this, his second book, A.C.T. NOW Management System: When alpaca fly , represents a sequel to the first. Providing clear, needed details for how such a transformation can take place. Details are provided on how efficiency can be improved by increasing alignment, motivation, teamwork, quality, preventing problems and getting employees to care.
Tales of ghosts and horrors from a renowned literary academicArthur Christopher Benson was born in 1862 one of six children fathered by Edward White Benson, an Archbishop of Canterbury. A. C. Benson (as he is usually known) was an academic who became master of Magdalene College, Cambridge and is today possibly best remembered for writing the stirring lyrics to the British patriotic song 'Land of Hope and Glory' which is part of Elgar's 'Pomp and Circumstance March No 1'. Most of the Benson family were talented, but three brothers, Arthur Christopher, Edward Frederic (E. F.) and Robert Hugh (R. H.) became especially notable in the world of supernatural fiction. There can be little doubt that the literary laurels go to E. F. Benson whose output of supernatural fiction was particularly prolific, although he is also remembered as the writer of many other works including the humorous 'Mapp and Lucia' stories of English middle class 'one-upmanship'. Nevertheless, the fiction of the weird and ghostly penned by the other Benson brothers will appeal to all aficionados of the golden age of the genre. Many of the stories written by A. C. Benson are moral allegories, although 'Basil Netherby' has been judged to be of the highest standard among horror stories despite its comparative obscurity. In the past the supernatural stories of A. C. and R. H. Benson have possibly been neglected, underrated or selectively combined to form single volumes, but Leonaur now offers collections of stories by each author separately as they undoubtedly merit.Leonaur editions are newly typeset and are not facsimiles; each title is available in softcover and hardback with dustjacket; our hardbacks are cloth bound and feature gold foil lettering on their spines and fabric head and tail bands.

Algernon Charles Swinburne (1837-1909) was one of the literary sensations of the Victorian period. His iconoclastic poetry and prose challenged attitudes to sex, politics, religion and censorship. Not only writing some of the most original lyric poetry of the time and pioneering criticism, Swinburne became a cultural icon. In the 1860s his very name was a symbol of progressive forces emerging in a repressive age. Readers across the world identified with the paganism and humanism of his poetry. Swinburne's was a turbulent life lived against a backdrop of beautiful settings in the Isle of Wight and Northumberland, and shared with a host of Victorian luminaries, or artists and writers such as D G Rossetti, Elizabeth Siddal, Burne-Jones, Morris and Simeon Solomon. It is a life touched by early tragedy and romantic disappointment, by extraordinary fame and abject loneliness, by masochism and alcoholism, but above all by an unquenchable vivacity. At the centre was the charmingly spoken, excitable genius whom Burne-Jones described as 'quite the most poetic personality I have ever known.' the artistic prodigy who seemed to have read almost everything, who was as happy revelling in the sea as in literary discourse. Based on new research and many unpublished letters, Rikky Rooksby sheds light on Swinburne's personality and relationships, and discusses how Swinburne's poetry develops from early pessimism to a recovered joy in the energies of the natural world. This biography is a sympathetic and fresh account of one of the most colourful figures in English literature.

This book provides a study of the forces underlying the development of economic thought at Cambridge University during the late nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century. The primary lens it uses to do so is an examination of how Arthur Cecil Pigou’s thinking, heavily influenced by his predecessor, Alfred Marshall, evolved.Aspects of Pigou’s context, biography and philosophical grounding are reconstructed and then situated within the framework of Ludwik Fleck’s philosophy of scientific knowledge, most notably by drawing on the notions of ‘thought styles’ and ‘thought collectives’. In this way, Knight provides a novel contribution to the history of Pigou's economic thought.
