Se realiz un estudio descriptivo, transversal y prospectivo en pacientes portadores de lceras de pie diab tico a los que se le realiza la profundoplastia previo al tratamiento con Heberprot P, atendidos en la Sala de Angiolog a del Hospital Cl nico Quir rgico "Luc a I iguez Land n" de Holgu n, as como de los pacientes que han sido remitidos para la consulta externa del hospital y de procedencia tanto de la provincia Holgu n como de provincias aleda as durante el per odo comprendido entre octubre de 2017 a agosto de 2019. El universo estuvo constituido por la totalidad de pacientes portadores de ulceras del pie diab tico clasificadas como de tipo isqu mico o isqu mico infectado seg n McCook y que sean atendidos en el Hospital Cl nico Quir rgico "Luc a I iguez Land n" durante el periodo de estudio. La muestra estuvo conformada por 35 pacientes tributarios de realizar la profundoplastia en concomitancia con el tratamiento local con Heberprot P. La evaluaci n determin que es efectivo el tratamiento seleccionado bajando los ndices de recidiva, aparici n de nueva lesi n, amputaciones mayores y menores en m s de un 50% de los casos.
