Harry Duck and the Land of Milk and Honey is a new adventure tale from the author of Harry Duck's Big Day. When Harry Duck begins a quest around the ranch to look for land that is flowing with milk and honey, he meets a strange new character whose motives appear a little suspicious. Along the way, Harry renews his friendship with a songbird named Chipper. Harry and Chipper travel together hoping to find what each of them is seeking.Harry Duck and the Land of Milk and Honey helps us to see that sometimes the things we are looking for are taken for granted because they are right in front of us. Maybe all it takes to reveal them is an encouraging word from a friend, or perhaps we have to begin a journey of self-discovery so that we may find them for ourselves. It also teaches us that the best way for us to receive the blessings God has promised is by being faithful and staying on the path He has chosen for us.

Creating job opportunities for its large and growing number of young people, is a key development challenge for the government of Sierra Leone. It is also crucial for maintaining peace and promoting pro-poor growth. Young people ages 15 to 35 years old are at a particular disadvantage relative to today's children or adults, as they grew up during a war, thereby potentially stunting their development and their transition into adulthood. This transition culminates with secure employment and the resources to provide for oneself and one's family. History suggests that marginalized young people can disrupt a peaceful society; youth who lacked education and access to job opportunities were at the core of the recent conflict, and it is important that this cycle not be repeated. The challenge is how to support their transition to adulthood and, in the process, avoid future conflict. 'Youth Employment in Sierra Leone' examines the supply and demand sides of the labor market to better understand the situation of today's young people, relative to that of adults, and presents an evidence-based menu of potential programs and policies for Sierra Leone. In particular, the authors use a recent household survey and census data to examine patterns of formal and informal labor force activity and human capital accumulation. The authors commissioned a labor demand survey and report on its findings to determine the extent to which urban and rural employers hire young people and their decision-making process. The study reviews skill development programs to enhance youth employability, based on a review of international best practices and of the main programs in Sierra Leone. The authors conclude that youth are a dynamic part of the labor market and that the observed youth employment patterns are a result of the economy's structure rather than constraints facing youth. Short-term actions-to address the immediate needs of today's youth-and long-term strategies to improve the labor market's underlying limitations will be of interest to policy makers who are looking to turn the serious political, social, and economic challenges of sustainable youth employment into an opportunity.

At fourteen, Toronto school friends Steve 'Lips' Kudlow and Robb Reiner made a pact to rock together forever. Forming their band 'Anvil' they went on to become the 'demi-gods of Canadian metal', releasing one of the heaviest albums in metal history, 1982's Metal on Metal. The album influenced a musical generation including the world-dominating bands Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax, all of whom went on to sell millions of records. Anvil's career would take a different path, however, as they slipped straight into obscurity...Almost thirty years later Lips and Robb, our unlikely musical heroes, are still chasing their dream. Anvil! The Story of Anvil, their autobiography, follows the ups and down of their career and their volatile friendship (which has now spanned almost four decades), reveals their dedication and unadulterated passion for their music, and carries us along on their last-ditch quest for fame and fortune. Based on Sacha Gervasi's award-winning film of the same name, and published to coincide with its worldwide release, this hilarious yet poignant book reminds us that if you believe in yourself, stick by your friends and never give up, you really can make your dreams come true. You cannot fail to be moved by this story. Anvil rock!
Anvil Of God: Book One of the Carolingian Chronicles
It is 741. After subduing the pagan religions in the east, halting the march of Islam in the west, and conquering the continent for the Merovingian kings, mayor of the palace Charles the Hammer has one final ambition-the throne. Only one thing stands in his way-he is dying. Charles cobbles together a plan to divide the kingdom among his three sons, betroth his daughter to a Lombard prince to secure his southern border, and keep the Church unified behind them through his friend Bishop Boniface. Despite his best efforts, the only thing to reign after Charles's death is chaos. His daughter has no intention of marrying anyone, let alone a Lombard prince. His two eldest sons question the rights of their younger pagan stepbrother, and the Church demands a steep price for their support. Son battles son, Christianity battles paganism, and Charles's daughter flees his court for an enemy's love. Based on a true story, Anvil of God is a whirlwind of love, honor, sacrifice, and betrayal that follows a bereaved family's relentless quest for power and destiny.

Even though I was an auditor, this realization really hurt." Since then, David has built his tax planning business into a successful enterprise based on one founding principle - to help small business owners understand the tax system and teach them how and where to look for hidden money treasures in their businesses. That's why he developed the Anvil Tax Guide for his closest clients. For the first time, this guide is available outside of his business contacts. In Canada's North, the snow is relentless. And below the permafrost, the mines hold nearly as many secrets as they do veins of ore. It's the 1960s, and John Vance has traveled from a teacher's college in Toronto to an isolated Yukon gold-mining camp. He's there to fulfill the last desire of his father, a former miner-and to search for the true circumstances behind his father's death. Vance is completely unfamiliar with life in the North, but he's determined to stick it out long enough to learn the truth, no matter what it may be. This narrative autobiography is a gripping story of achievement, adversity, and failure. It chronicles a critical time in John Vance's life as he finds recognition and acceptance of change, and slowly begins to understand the range of human nature.
