It's always the quiet ones. I've finally found my footing at Hawthorn Academy. Friends, classes, and my dragonet make it fun. I'm even playing a magical sport. Everything's perfect. Except it's not. The voice in my head persists through it all, and it's nearly impossible to keep my extra powers secret. I'm worried the wrong people will notice. Like someone poisonous. The quietest guy in class, Alex Onassis, pays way too much attention to me. He's Greek nobility so he can't want a Jewish girl from a stateside tourist town. My roommate thinks it's harmless flirting. My big brother doesn't like it, but won't say why. I figure it's got something to do with my extra powers. But does he want a harmless date or something more sinister? What do I do if he starts trouble? "I spent more than a couple of late nights reading through these stories to find out what was going to happen to my new friends " - Michael Anderle, Best-Selling Author of The Kurtherian Gambit This series is for fans of Harry Potter, Jaymin Eve, and all academy books.

Is evil really my destiny, or can I fight it somehow?

The only way to stop a threat is to destroy it... ...And last year, we discovered an enormous one. Temperance Fairbanks: the most powerful and sadistic water magus ever to set foot on campus. Hawthorn Academy will host a series of extramural challenges. That means we're hosting shifters, changelings, psychics, and even a vampire. Temperance vowed to hurt them any way she can, and she's already got help. My roommate Grace has a plan. Social warfare, breaking reputations and hearts, including her own. And she wants me to be her muscle. Last year I almost burned the school down. But this time, I might just be sitting on a powder keg. The system is broken and if I'm not careful, it'll break me too. While my peers get excited for college, I brace for disaster. I've learned at Hawthorn Academy that danger can happen to anyone. To the jock. To the class clown. To my brother. Now I'm in the line of fire. All known extramagi must have their abilities tested. The way they do it is a horrifying secret. After witnessing one last year, I made a plan to expose the ugly truth. But there's a mind magus on campus now, threatening me. And he's totally within his rights to do so. Mr. Fairbanks leads the Board of Trustees, which demoted the headmaster and expelled my brother. Last year's threat was only a symptom of bigger problems. Half the Trustees play quid pro quo while the rest flex their authority for personal vendettas. Mr. Fairbanks blames me for his daughter's troubles. Mrs. Onassis says I poisoned her son's mind. And Mr. Pierce thinks I'm taking advantage of his children. All because extramagi are supposedly evil. But now I suspect we're scapegoats the influential families pin blame on. They say you make your own future. But can I survive the present first? Scroll up and click 'Buy Now' or 'Read for Free' to continue the adventure

In Letters from Dr. Percy Magan, author Albert Dittes shares the untold story of early Loma Linda drawn from letters sent between Percy T. Magan and Lida Scott. These letters reflect not only people putting their religious faith on the line and devoting themselves fully to accomplishing the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church but also the still-continuing struggle of the church to find the relationship of medical professionals to the evangelical proclamation of the gospel to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.

Symbiosis: Original Screenplay Adaptation of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by R.L. Stevenson
Symbiosis is an adatation in the form of a modern psycho thriller with a gothic touch of literary classic "The strange tale of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" by R.L. Stevenson and the novel "Mary Reilly" by Valerie Martin.Police inspector John Utterson and his colleague Harry Enfield must solve the triple homicide of Vice-Chancellor James Carew and two prostitutes in Whitechapel City. Their investigations lead them to the high-society callgirl service off Mrs Farraday and to Highgate University. Here, Utterson soon encounters arrogant lecturer-researcher Dr Henry Jekyll, his traumatized student Mary Reilly whom he secretly fancies and his mysterious but evasive new lab assistant Mr Edward Hyde, as well as the shady religious fanatic Poole. The murderous truth behind the killings however by far exceeds Utterson's worst fears...

The History of Dr Steevens' Hospital, Dublin 1720-1920

Financed through the will of Dr Richard Steevens (1653-1710), and brought into existence by his surviving twin sister, Griselda, Dr Steevens' Hospital (1733) rapidly became a vital institution in the city of Dublin's provision of health care. In its origins, it was promoted by leading citizens, including Jonathan Swift and William King. Throughout its long period of activity, it advanced medical science in both the clinical and educational spheres. Abraham Colles (1773-1843) was only one of its world-renowned surgeons and physicians. To its doors were brought the victims of Invincible crime in 1882.T. P. C. Kirkpatrick's magisterial account of Steeven's was the greatest of his many medical publications, rich in detail, attentive to historical context, and ably conveying the professional significance of the work undertaken throughout the decades and centuries. Privately distributed by subscription in 1924, it is now re-published to mark the 275th anniversary of the hospital's opening, together with all the original photographs.
