About the Author and Photographer Dwayne Kugler, an accredited chef by trade, possesses an A.O.S. in Culinary Arts from the highly acclaimed Culinary Institute of America. His experience and education prompted him to open Uncle Vinnie's Clam Bar on December 3, 1989. Creating and performing countless culinary feats on four small burners in the eye of the public in a modest six hundred square foot space, was a formula for instant success. The rising popularity of Uncle Vinnie's Clam Bar made Dwayne well known throughout the area. Dwayne's interest in photography started ever so innocently in the summer of 1992 during his first trip across the Atlantic Ocean to Italy. What was intended to be a two week relaxing holiday, quickly became an holiday of intrigue and interest as his first sight of the ancient architecture that Italy and all of Europe is well know for. Classic architecture and unbounded landscapes came to life through the lens of Dwayne's cameras. The summer of 1999 invoked a dream to publish these photos. Not until further trips to the Philippine Islands and the magnificent grandeur of Moscow and Saint Petersburg in Russia did Dwayne decide he must publish a documented account of his travels throughout the world. Attaining the services of a publishing company, Dwayne is proud to display these photographs and short stories from around the world for your enjoyment. The photography of Dwayne Kugler, displayed in the Uncle Vinnie's Collection of International Photography is sure to heighten the interest of any person who dreams of traveling to exotic and unique destinations in this overwhelming picturesque world in which we live.
