Hur kunde en fattig föräldralös pojke, som först blev skomakare, till slut bli Sveriges finansminister? Vad formade honom till den framstående politiker han blev, med ett stort folkligt stöd. Historien om Fredrik Vilhelm (FV) Thorsson är även historien om socialdemokratins första årtionden då FV Thorsson kom att spela en viktig roll i den utvecklingen. Han var partiets första försvarspolitiker och fick en viktig roll att göra partiet acceptabelt hos borgerligheten. Försvarspolitiken blev viktig för socialdemokratin eftersom partiet knöt den allmänna värnplikten, som infördes år 1902, till den allmänna rösträtten. Thorsson fick också en viktig roll då det gällde att kasta ut anarkisterna ur partiet och därmed göra socialdemokratin fullt demokratisk. Det finns många finansministrar som kommer folket nära men FV Thorsson var den första som både vann folkets erkännande och fattade avgörande beslut om hur ekonomin i samhället ska skötas, beslut som råder än idag. Hans livsöde är en inspirerande berättelse i vad en person kan uppnå trots fattig bakgrund. Finansministern Thorsson avled 1925, således för 100 år sedan. Han var folkets man som hedrades av både socialdemokraterna och de borgerliga. Boken vill visa Thorssons betydelse för Sveriges utveckling och byggandet av folkhemmet. Fattigpojken som blev Finansminister är en omarbetad version av boken FV Thorsson Fattigpojken som blev finansminister, från 2016. Yet DDR programs are seldom deconstructed to discover whether they truly achieve their justice-related aims. Additionally, transitional justice mechanisms rarely articulate strategies for coordinating with DDR.
