Dieser Kerngedanke zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch das Werk Herta M llers.Die Differenz kann als konstitutiver Bestandteil von Herta M llers Literatur betrachtet werden. Neben existenziellen Fremdheitserfahrungen, die beispielsweise in der verfremdeten Selbstwahrnehmung des Subjekts sichtbar werden, dienen Fremdheit und Alterit t allerdings auch als Strategie, um belastende Ordnungen zu sprengen und neue literarische Formen zu erkunden. Sigrid Gr n analysiert in ihrer Studie neben den poetologischen Voraussetzungen auch die Themenfelder Fremdheit und Sprache, Ethnozentrismus, Geschlechterordnungen, Fremdheit im totalit ren Staat, Migrationserfahrungen sowie intrasubjektive Fremdheit.
