It ends four years later as graduation day nears. It is more the relationship of two very different and similar boys who meet as freshman roommates at a small college in 1960 and how that relationship changes as the reality of campus life and pending adulthood affects both boys individually and collectively and consequences of the decisions both make. It is a story of the culture and morality of the day and the view of the world they inhabit.
