He added value to the buildings he designed by combining living quarters with work spaces, by accounting for green spaces and by taking the environment into consideration. He created project after project, starting from his commitment to sustainability and social involvement. Every time his use of very diverse materials and his colour play elevated his designs beyond being just buildings. This book comprises his most important work, at first within the architectural office Jan Maenhout, and later in its contemporary successor Atelier M Architects + Planners.

Selbst wenn Grice diesen Aufsatz nicht in erster Linie als Beitrag zur Sprechakttheorie vorgesehen hatte, lohnt es sich dennoch, diesen im Lichte verschiedener Ans tze bzw. Beitr ge zur Sprechakttheorie in Augenschein zu nehmen, da die beschriebenen Aspekte der Implikaturen m glicherweise eine entscheidende L cke bei der Ermittlung bzw. Bestimmung von illokution ren Akten zu schlie en verm gen. Die Vorgehensweise gliedert sich hierbei wie folgt: Zun chst wird das Wesen und die Funktionsweise von Implikaturen vorgestellt, wie Grice sie in seinen Werken erl utert hat. Anschlie end soll eine Einordnung in die allgemeine Sprechakttheorie, wie sie von Austin, Grice bzw. Strawson und von Searle entworfen wurde, vorgenommen werden. Dabei werden vor allem die "Indirekten Sprechakte" von Searle zu einem Vergleich herangezogen. Zu guter Letzt schlie lich wird Grices Beitrag einer kritischen Bewertung unterzogen und es werden m gliche Verbesserungen bzw. Erweiterungen zur Analyse der Implikatur angeboten.
