On the surface, this collection of letters presents itself as a journal of experiences, but is more than that. What this really reveals is a wonderful mother/daughter friendship, and the need to share all the big and little moments of the day in frequent letters home. Summer in New York was spent auditioning for a job as a dancer and getting the USO job. The adventure begins with the summer auditions and classes, and a July visit from Mother.
