Denial of Service (DoS) attacks are a form of attack that seeks to make a network resource unavailable due to overloading the resource or machine with an overwhelming number of packets, thereby crashing or severely slowing the performance of the resource. Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) is a large scale DoS attack which is distributed in the Internet. Every computer which has access to the Internet can behave as an attacker. Typically bandwidth depletion can be categorized as either a flood or an amplification attack. Flood attacks can be done by generating ICMP packets or UDP packets in which it can utilize stationary or random variable ports. Smurf and Fraggle attacks are used for amplification attacks. DDoS Smurf attacks are an example of an amplification attack where the attacker sends packets to a network amplifier with the return address spoofed to the victim’s IP address. This book presents new research and methodologies along with a proposed algorithm for prevention of DoS attacks that has been written based on cryptographic concepts such as birthday attacks to estimate the rate of attacks generated and passed along the routers. Consequently, attackers would be identified and prohibited from sending spam traffic to the server which can cause DDoS attacks. Due to the prevalence of DoS attacks, there has been a lot of research conducted on how to detect them and prevent them. The authors of this short format title provide their research results on providing an effective solution to DoS attacks, including introduction of the new algorithm that can be implemented in order to deny DoS attacks.

Die vorliegende Studie wurde durchgef hrt, um die Auswirkung von Input-Flut durch das H ren englischer Filme auf die rezeptiven F higkeiten zu untersuchen. In dieser Studie analysierte der Forscher die Fortschritte w hrend des Filmh rens anhand der Notizen und Tageb cher, die w hrend des Experiments aufgezeichnet wurden. Die Fortschritte bei den Ergebnissen der IELTS-Pr fung, die H r- und Lesef higkeiten umfasst, wurden verglichen. Zun chst wurde die Forscherin getestet. Nur ein Student (Forscher) hat an der Untersuchung teilgenommen. Der Fortschritt wurde anhand der Ergebnisse von zwei IELTS-Tests verglichen, die H r- und Leseverst ndnis umfassten. Zu Beginn wurde die Forscherin getestet, und nachdem sie die Filme gesehen hatte, wurde sie noch einmal getestet. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass Input-Flood durch das H ren englischer Filme einen Einfluss auf die Verbesserung der H rverst ndnisf higkeiten hatte, aber keinen signifikanten Einfluss auf die Lesef higkeiten.

Un seul tudiant (chercheur) a particip la recherche. Les progr s ont t compar s sur la base des r sultats de deux tests IELTS comprenant des parties de compr hension orale et crite. Au d but, la chercheuse a t test e, et apr s avoir regard les films, elle a t test e nouveau. Les r sultats ont montr que l'Input-flood travers l' coute de films anglais avait un impact sur l'am lioration des comp tences d' coute, mais pas d'impact significatif sur les comp tences de lecture.

Il presente studio stato condotto per sondare l'effetto dell'input-flood attraverso l'ascolto di film in inglese sulle abilit ricettive. In questo studio, il ricercatore ha analizzato i progressi compiuti durante la visione dei film in base agli appunti e ai diari registrati durante l'esperimento. Sono stati confrontati i progressi sui risultati dell'esame IELTS, che comprende le abilit di ascolto e di lettura. In un primo momento, il ricercatore stato sottoposto a un test. Neste estudo, o investigador analisou o progresso durante a visualiza o de filmes de acordo com as notas e os di rios registados durante a experi ncia.
