Violent nonstate actors must have the resources to carry out their activities. Disrupting their financing plays a critical role in degrading these groups. It is not, however, always obvious which tools are effective and which would be counterproductive. This report presents five cases describing how five groups financed their activities, the effectiveness of various tools to disrupt that financing, and how the Army can contribute to the effort.

What should we do with enemies?Jesus challenges us to love our enemies. In today’s swirl of hatemongering, political polarization, and online nastiness, even Christians have skirted this command or given it up as impossible or foolish. What does it really mean to love our enemies? And how might our lives and our world change if we did? In this issue we apply these tough questions to real situations, and hear from people who have put this command into practice in some of the toughest circumstances. On this theme: - Can we afford to love our enemies in a cancel culture?- What sort of enemies did Jesus expect us to love? - The problem with "love the sinner, hate the sin"- Channeling outrage while working with children displaced by war- What Coptic Christians know about praying for their persecutors- Two incarcerated friends defy a racist prison culture.- What about mental illness, when your mind becomes your enemy? - Students find ways to debate tough issues constructively.- A Russian Christian speaks out against the war in Ukraine. Also in the issue:- Maria Novella De Luca photographs Algerian women demining the Sahara.- Dana Wiser remembers civil rights activist Staughton Lynd.- Zena Hitz asks what we’d do with our time if we weren’t so busy.- Kathleen A. Mulhern gives advice for keeping the faith afterhours.- Susannah Black Roberts celebrates the life and example of Tim Keller.- Nathan Beacom call for reestablishing Lyceums in working-class towns.- Maureen swinger recounts the exploits of Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty.Plough Quarterly features stories, ideas, and culture for people eager to apply their faith to the challenges we face.
Nathan meets his Deli la: Clara tells a story, Book Two
Clara continues telling the story about her family, History could be this interesting if a demon had the control to mess things up as much as this. Clara is very messed up too, it runs in the family. 500 years ago her family had a chance for fame. Will the demon let them have success, I doubt it. It is more fun to mess it up along the way.
Eyes on Moryork - 2014 Nathan Solis Photographs
Since 1986, MorYork has been the studio and gallery of Clare Graham and Bob Breen. It continues to evolve. "Eyes on MorYork" is an attempt to have multiple photographers record what the space looks like in 2014, prior to a show at the Craft and Folk Art Museum. The show will be comprised of pieces that normally cohabitate the dense environment of MorYork. Constantly evolving and continually morphing, MorYork is ephemeral, the building continues to live its destiny. These portraits seek to capture moments in its life. These photos were taken by Nathan Solis during 2014, and is Volume 10 in a series of 12 different photographers.
