Warriors of the Continuum Part One: Arrival
Across the Continuum, Kaos's strength grows, and the Iyes tribe shaman must make the Request for Warriors to come to their aid. Arrival is the first part of the Warriors of the Continuum Trilogy and tells of reluctant Warriors struggling to understand the scale of the challenge fate has set before them. The story begins here. It is a beginning.
Warriors of the Continuum Part Two: Deception
"It is my people who suffer at the hand of the Iyes! My people! So when we hear the Warriors have arrived and are preparing for battle against us, what do we do? What do I do? I fight! I fight to save my people!" - The Ensi, leader of the Ka Hounded by adherents of Kaos, god of the Dark, the reluctant Warriors strive to protect the Iyes tribe, while desperately seeking truths within the shadows of the harsh land into which they've been thrust. Who truly are the Ka, these ancient enemies of the Iyes? Where is the Kade, the supposed source of the enemy's power? And the Geddon, the Land's Armageddon - what is this ultimate threat hanging over them, over all Life in the Continuum? In seeking answers, the words of the god of the Light, IY, haunt them. "Fighters on the battlefield will not win this war." The Warriors realise they must engage with both the power of the Land, the A'ven, and with the unpredictable allies of IY, the daemons. And they must learn to co-exist with the soul of an ancient Warrior beside them. And for those left in another age, who also see the rising of the Dark? How can they help their friends prevent the unfolding chaos? Maybe with the aid of a traitor? Deception is the second part of the Warriors of the Continuum Trilogy, and tells of a great deception, one hiding secrets in plain sight. It seems the Story of the Iyes does not tell all. No, a game is being played ... but by whom, and why?

Warriors of the Continuum Part Three: Life
Krull, the chosen of Kaos, grows in power as he pursues all that his master desires: the Kade, the hidden life holding back the Geddon, and the daughters of the Ensi. All these, Krull has been commanded to deliver to ensure the cleansing of the world, a world he would then inherit. And with the Neti feeding him the merciless power of Kaos, might he even become a god? Stepping into the path of the rising terror, the Guardian and the Warriors strive to prevent the Land's Armageddon, aided by an uneasy alliance with the daemons, the Ensi, and one named Jalu. But how can the Dark be defeated when, at every turn, it seems much remains concealed from them, much unsaid? Such as those gods watching from the Void. Such as the truth of the Geddon. Such as the truth of Life. Life is the final part of the Warriors of the Continuum Trilogy and reveals the true horror of the game of the gods. The Guardian must understand. This time, she must succeed.

This book provides an introduction to the theory and design of composite structures of steel and concrete. Material applicable to both buildings and bridges is included, with more detailed information relating to structures for buildings. Throughout, the design methods are illustrated by calculations in accordance with the Eurocode for composite structures, EN 1994, Part 1-1, ‘General rules and rules for buildings’ and Part 1-2, ‘Structural fire design’, and their cross-references to ENs 1990 to 1993. The methods are stated and explained, so that no reference to Eurocodes is needed. The use of Eurocodes has been required in the UK since 2010 for building and bridge structures that are publicly funded. Their first major revision began in 2015, with the new versions due in the early 2020s. Both authors are involved in the work on Eurocode 4. They explain the expected additions and changes, and their effect in the worked examples for a multi-storey framed structure for a building, including resistance to fire. The book will be of interest to undergraduate and postgraduate students, their lecturers and supervisors, and to practising engineers seeking familiarity with composite structures, the Eurocodes, and their ongoing revision.
