God really does move in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. Including this book there are 14 of my books on Amazon available both in eBook and paperback formats; but none would have been written if it had not been for a whole series of events that led to a friendship initially between an Official Prison Visitor and a Jew who had come to realise that Jesus Christ really was the Jews long awaited Messiah. This book describes a process that was started in 1939 and ended up with three men of diverse characters and situations in life colaborating to provide study books that have brought to many unbelievers and believers the true message of the kingdom of God.It is an itriguing tale that has facinated me and I am one of the three men. But what has brought the greatest joy is the enlightening of a rabbi to the truth of Jesus Christ, Messiah and his epiphany moment that transformed his life. We are told there is great joy in heaven over one sinner that repents, in this case there was also great joy and celebration on earth when Aaron began to read the whole Bible and experience the Holy Spirit open it up to him in a way he had never experienced before. Derek and Aaron, two Jewish boys adopted after the war, went different ways, one into crime and the other to rabbinic school. What is so wonderful is that both these men who had been brought up as Orthodox Jews, had the scriptures (both testaments) opened up to them by a Gentile This is our story, which has benefitted many thousands of individuals.

Revelation is a neglected book, yet it gives true believers information regarding the future that is essential to them and their faith in God.We read the news and if we are going on a long journey we read as much as we can about the route we are thinking of taking and the destination to check if there are any dangers of which we need to be aware. We only have one life, one opportunity to gain eternal life and yet so often we leave things to chance. We are told about the mind that controls the evil spiritual forces that surround us and of the weapons of warfare that could give us protection yet we leave them lying around in a neglected state, unused and ourselves open to danger. It is ridiculous What a way of ensuring our future? Are we serious about God or do we prefer to play at our relationship with Him like children. This study of the book of Revelation is not definitive but it does seek to guide the novice through the book to give it meaning. Unless we study to show ourselves approved of God then we could well end up like the five foolish virgins locked out of heaven through our own neglect and self-inflicted ignorance. This book, "Seeing Into The Future: Understanding the Revelation of John" is a serious work that should be read by all those who are serious about their faith and desire to enter into God's rest.
A Fresh Look At Easter

Putting things in context, by understanding what went before an event and what came after, is very important especially when it comes to Bible events because such activity brings them into clearer focus. A multitude of books must have been written on the subject of the Easter events and their meaning, so why should you read this one? Because of the efforts made to put the whole message in context. What was written about in Genesis is as important in setting the scene for the crucifixion as what Moses recorded in Deuteronomy. What can be discovered in Ezekiel and the reason for the 400 years of silence is as important in setting the scene for the attitude of the leaders of the Jews towards the Messiah when He arrived as are the events surrounding the trial and execution of the Saviour. No book can be written that covers all aspects of the Easter events; an amazingly obvious statement. However, each book will have something to offer the seeker after truth and this one is no exception. After months of research and writing, one or two trusted individuals were asked if this book should be published or deleted from the computer. The singular reply was - publish. This book is, therefore, offered to those who want to discover more about the meaning of the events leading up to and following Easter in order to put the celebration into context.
You Will Receive Power . . .

You Will Receive Power . . .

After the crucifixion the disciples hid away frightened to death of what the authorities might do to them. When Christ appeared to them after the resurrection they were much encouraged but they were still in no position to serve God. It was therefore necessary for them to be empowered by the Holy Spirit. The Lord told them not to leave Jerusalem for it was there that they would receive power when "the Holy Spirit is come upon you". Then on the day of Pentecost they were filled with the Holy Spirit and transformed from frightened men, into men willing to minister to others in His name, inspired and emboldened by the Holy Spirit. Just as Peter was unable to preach as he did on the day of Pentecost without the Hoy Spirit, so Christians today are unable to preach and teach in power or live according to the demanding rules of Christ unless they are similarly filled and empowered. This book explains in simple terms the sovereignty of God, the spiritual nature of life with God, and man's need of God along with the danger of attack by the evil one, the importance of sacrifice, what hell is and how spiritual power from on high can be received. It is essential reading for those wanting to more fully understand the deeper things of God and be a better servant and disciple of Christ.
Letting Go of Nothing

Letting Go of Nothing

A practical and empowering approach to the age-old quest for letting go of the thoughts and feelings that block happiness, impede change, and hinder self-acceptance Anyone who has dipped a toe into any of the world's spiritual traditions knows that letting go and letting be is key. But how? In this fresh, frank, and accessible guide, Peter Russell allows readers to see that the things we get hung up on are generally not concrete, like tangible problems in the present, but are instead thoughts, feelings, interpretations, beliefs, or expectations. These are "no-things"; they exist only in our minds. And we can strip these no-things of their power and let them go by making a simple change -- a change of mind. Russell boils this "letting go" down to remarkably easy methods of accepting, acknowledging, recognizing, and even befriending what we tend to run from. This paradoxical practice generates peace of mind, fresh perspectives, and wisdom in action. In turbulent times like ours, this is a true power, one available to us all.

This book is partly a response to The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, given to me by a friend who is seeking for God. He asked me to let him know my thoughts on the book. My friend is struggling but looking in all the wrong places. It has also been written for the benefit of another friend, one who is a confirmed atheist yet he appreciates my writing and theology. The title of the book says it all. It is easy to discount God until the search for Him by individuals is not only serious but focused on God without being distracted by the thoughts of men who think they are essential to the academic world, even in the area of the Christian faith. At someone's suggestion the first chapter is called The Dawkins Delusion which explains why Dawkins' book is so fatally flawed whilst offering counter arguments that have provided good reasons for the subject matter of this book. Starting with why the acceptance of God is true reality, the book progresses through an explanation of God as Father of the human race, the Israelites being God's chosen channel of communications with mankind, and identifying messengers of God. A chapter has been included in edition 2 on the prophet Jonah because so many discount him as a real prophet. One reason is because they cannot believe that he was brought to life by God after drowning as he sank to the bottom of the sea and was then transported back to land in the belly of a big fish, possibly a whale. Proof is given in the book that such a thing isn't so fanciful as some might think. There is also the interesting fact that Jonah's book is the only first testament book that does not mention, or be concerned with Israel. As the Lord Jesu Christ specifically referred to Jonah, it is important to understand why the book is very important and helps us understand why it can be said that 'Assuredly God IS ' The consistency of the Bible and the way the first testament is so vital to the second testament is highlighted in the chapter on Isaiah 53, and how all that happened in the life of Christ is so accurately prophesied. The purpose of His sacrifice is also considered. Then follows a chapter on the importance of the purity of faith, which focuses on part of the book of Ezekiel, which we would do well to think about very carefully. The final chapter focuses on the glory that is to come, according to the Revelation of John. This book provides clear and unambiguous instructions on what the Christian faith is all about and how to find God, with substantiated proof that Assuredly God IS

The Bible is under attack not only from non-believers and members of other faiths and of none, but from the church itself. Yet it is our instruction book, written by the prophets under the inspiration of God the Holy Spirit and should be taken seriously as God's truth to mankind. It is how people acknowledge God that matters. If we accept Him as the Supreme Being who created all that is and is the source of all power and love, then we will accept what has been written in His name as sacrosanct and not attempt to change the meaning of any part of that word to suit the social way of life of any one generation, as many are trying to doThe centrality of the Lord Jesus Christ is vital to our understanding of the Bible because He is mention throughout the whole of our Bible, from the beginning of Genesis to the end of Revelation and therefore He is the central theme of scripture in both the Judeo and Christian sections of the Bible. Our relationship with God depends totally on our understanding and acceptance of scripture, from the way in which God sought to teach the Hebrew nation in the First Testament, to the teaching and sacrifice of Jesus in the Second Testament. What we must not do is to alter any wording in the Bible to suit our own situation; rather we need to change our way of life to fit in with God's will, not the other way around.Unless we are prepared to spend time studying the scriptures then we will have no idea of what God is seeking to teach us through the prophets or through the achievements of His Son. The study of the arrival and life of the Saviour along with His death, resurrection and ascension is very illuminating and has transformed many a life. This book, Christ IS King, is one such study that seeks to understand, using both testaments, the spiritual aspect of what Jesus Christ came to do and ultimately achieve in providing salvation to all those prepared to fully believe and commit themselves to the Saviour. Written by a professional technical author whose task was to write often-comprehensive documents with clarity, this work is written in plain language that will enable all to understand deep truths.
How to Meditate Without Even Trying

How to Meditate Without Even Trying

NEW WORLD LIBRARY

sidottu
A refreshingly simple approach to meditation that replaces effort with ease and shows how true peace of mind is always closer than we think. What if meditation didn't require discipline, technique, or hours of sitting still but was actually something you looked forward to? In How to Meditate Without Even Trying, Peter Russell shares the liberating insight at the heart of his decades-long teaching: the harder we try to meditate, the more we get in our own way. Russell shows that true meditation is instead about the practice of allowing: releasing effort, relaxing the mind, and gently returning to the present moment. In clear and calming prose, he walks readers through a minimalist approach to meditation designed to help them: - cultivate presence without controlling their thoughts - let go of resistance, tension, and emotional discomfort - reclaim their natural inner calm -- even in a noisy, busy world - integrate mindfulness into daily life through "mini" and "micro" meditations - rediscover the practice as a source of joy, clarity, and deep contentment Rooted in both lived experience and timeless wisdom, this is a book to keep within arm's reach -- an invitation to stop striving and start being.

What is the real meaning of Easter? Why is it celebrated? What has it got to do with the Jewish Passover? And why is it the most important of the church festivals? How does the Easter we celebrate today, reflect what happened on that first Passover (Good Friday) and the third day in Jerusalem over 2,000 years ago? This book explains, with great clarity, the history and meaning behind the sacrifice of the Lamb of God. The why's and where-fore's of this historic event. It is a book to be read carefully for it is to be studied rather than read like a novel. Read the references for they are part of the instructive element of the book which will lead you deeper into spiritual truth.

The Upanishads

The Upanishads are key texts of the ageless wisdom known as the Perennial Philosophy. This lucid new translation presents selections from the eleven traditionally considered the most important: the Māṇḍūkya, Kena, Chāndogya, Īsha, Brihadāranyaka, Taittirīya, Mundaka, Kaushītaki, Maitrī, Katha and Shvetāshvatara. Each selection is preceded by an incisive introduction that explains simply and clearly Sanskrit terms and yogic concepts that might otherwise be obscure. What emerges is that these writings, composed in the forest retreats of India some twenty-five centuries ago, address still vital questions about the nature and destiny of humankind and the consequences of disregarding the natural order and the greater whole. This vibrant revisioning of long-established classics offers both insight and inspiration to anyone who seeks the truth, whatever their chosen path.
