God calls Israel His "peculiar treasure" in the earth. She is His wife, the apple of His eye. Judged unfaithful by Him more than 2,700 years ago, His beloved-Israel (10 northern tribes called Ephraim)-was scattered to the nations. Eight centuries later, in 70 A.D., the two remaining tribes-Judah and Benjamin-followed their wayward sister. Where are their descendants today? Did God abandon them forever? Absolutely not These modern-day "Samaritans"-part Hebrew, part Gentile-are hidden in the nations throughout the world. Over the millennia, they have proliferated into a vast army of witnesses for Christ. God knows who and where they are. He is about to revive the "old dry bones" of Israel in our generation. He will mobilize the "ten thousands of Ephraim and the thousands of Manasseh" into a spiritual army, to lead the body of Christ during a time of unprecedented judgment on the world. As prophesied by Jacob (Israel) on his deathbed, and later by Moses, the Lord will also open to His warriors the "blessings of the deep that lie beneath." In the last hours of the last days, a hidden treasure of crude oil will underwrite an unprecedented move of God's Spirit to usher millions into His kingdom before the dreadful "Day of the Lord." Get ready Rachelle C. Hood is co-founder and president of The Ephraim Project, a non-profit, private foundation established to help the "poorest among us." She also authored Demolishing the Spiritual Stronghold of Racism in the American Church-Secret Key to Worldwide Last Days' Harvest.

Like the Titanic, America is on a collision course with God. The United States of America-Babylon the Great-is about to be called into account. Her stench has reached the highest heavens. Judgments, unprecedented in our nation's history, are about to strike.God is calling His bride to "come out" of Babylon's harlotries: "Wake up Repent " Take cover in His Ark of Safety-Jesus Christ Many will heed the warnings from Captain Lord contained in these pages, and prepare. They will accept God's only Life Preserver, Jesus Christ Many more will go down with the ship, eternally lost. Beloved, it is the eleventh hour. God warns, "Come out or share in her plagues "

A lark for the sake of their country tells the tale of the upper and middle-class ‘volunteers’ in the 1926 General Strike in Great Britain. With behaviour derived from their play traditions - the larks, rags, fancy dress parties, and treasure hunts that prevailed at universities and country houses - the volunteers transformed a potential workers’ revolution into festive public display of Englishness. Decades later, collective folk memories about this event continue to define national identity. Based on correspondence and interviews with volunteers and strikers, as well as contemporary newspapers and magazines, novels, diaries, plays, and memoirs, this book recreates the context for the volunteers’ actions. It explores how the upper classes used the strike to assert their ideological right to define Britishness as well as how scholars, novelists, playwrights, diarists, museum curators, local historians, and even a theme restaurant, have continued to recycle the strike to define British identity.

A visit to Leo's grandfather's farm turns upside down when his grandmother's beehives are stolen. A light-hearted and funny middle-grade novel for fans of Rebecca Stead and Lynda Mullaly Hunt. Eleven-year-old Leo is an "armchair adventurer." This, according to Dad, means he'd choose adventures in books or video games over real-life experiences. And while Leo hates the label, he can't argue with it. Unlike his little sister Lizzie, Leo is not a risk-taker. So when he, Lizzie, Mom and Dad leave the city to visit Grandpa on Heron Island, Leo finds all kinds of dangers to avoid -- from the deep, dark ocean to an old barn on the verge of collapse. But nothing on the island is more fearsome than Grandpa himself -- Leo has never met anyone so grumpy According to Mom, Grandpa is still grieving the recent death of his wife, a beekeeper beloved by everyone on the island. Despite Leo's best efforts to avoid it, adventure finds him anyway when Grandma's beehives go missing in the dead of night. Infuriated, Grandpa vows to track down the sticky-fingered thieves himself . . . with risk-averse Leo and danger-loving Lizzie (plus a kitten named Mayhem) in tow.
