Seventeen years ago, Eric Quinetti was the first guy to ever see past Chloe Seal's quirkiness and social ineptitude. He was both the perfect guy and her best friend. They were inseparable until his family moved during their eighth grade year. Vowing they would stay in touch, Eric gave Chloe a special Christmas gift and a sacred promise was made. However, with distance and time, their communication faded. Through the years, Chloe sought to find a similar connection - something real. After many futile attempts, she unexpectedly runs into Eric at a Christmas party. As adults, their lives have taken different paths. Eric is a traditional guy with an old soul and witty sense of humor. Chloe is a labeled party girl who lacks direction and confidence. Will their Christmas reunion evolve into more than just a friendship or will their differences be a barrier to their sacred promise?

Preventing Child Maltreatment: Multicultural Considerations in the United States is the first book in a concentrated series that examines child maltreatment across minoritized, cultural groups. Specifically, this volume examines core multicultural concepts (e.g., intersectionality, acculturation, spirituality, oppression) as they relate to child maltreatment in the United States, while the other books take a closer look at particular ethnic or racial communities in this country. Additionally, this book examines child maltreatment through the intersection of feminist, multicultural, and prevention/wellness promotion lenses. Recommendations for treatment in each book build on a foundation of prevention and wellness promotion, along with multicultural and feminist theories. Throughout this book, five case studies, which are introduced in Chapter One, are revisited to help the readers make important and meaningful connections between theory and practice.

This Element aims to deepen our understanding of how the fields of multilingualism, second language acquisition and minority language revitalisation have largely overlooked the question of queer sexual identities among speakers of the languages under study. Based on case studies of four languages experiencing differing degrees of minoritisation – Irish, Breton, Catalan and Welsh – it investigates how queer people navigate belonging within the binary of speakers/non-speakers of minoritised languages while also maintaining their queer identities. Furthermore, it analyses how minoritised languages are dealing linguistically with the growing need for 'gender-fair' or 'gender-neutral' language. The marginalisation of queer subjects in these strands of linguistics can be traced to the historical dominance of the Fishmanian model of 'Reversing Language Shift' (RLS), which assumed the importance of the deeply heteronormative model of 'intergenerational transmission' of language as fundamental to language revitalisation contexts.

The Bachelor franchise has been around for over two decades and amassed an army of fans across its four shows. While contestants battle to prove they’re here for the right reasons, Bachelor Nation is confronting their own question—Why are we here and why can’t we stop watching?Devout franchise fans Ilana Masad and Stevie Seibert Desjarlais pose the big questions to Bachelor Nation: Who are we? What does the franchise mean to us? And seriously, why on earth can we not stop watching? For years, fans of the Bachelor franchise have laughed with and at contestants; cried along with their heartbreaks; tuned in again and again each season despite feeling betrayed by producer and contestant decisions alike; and celebrated, alone and together, the love (or loveless) lives of perfect strangers on our television screens. And we wonder, really, why? With reality TV broadly characterized as “trash TV,” why are so many intelligent, funny, and critical people watching and discussing it?Here for All the Reasons seeks to answer this question, diving into the complex negotiations of gender, racial, and class politics that arise within the fandom. This anthology is a polyvocal exploration of Bachelor Nation for Bachelor Nation. So, will you accept our rose and join the chat?

Voltaire said that poetry is the music of the soul, and, above all, great and feeling souls. Poetry expresses the music and lyricism in language. Poetry is the perfume of the soul. GOD Speak: The anticipations of love is filled with the music, lyricism, feeling and perfume of Rene R. Lewis' heart. Her connection, conversations, feelings and expressions from GOD through natural, physical, and spiritual love reveals how GOD will speak to and through us with great intimacy and revelation. "So find a good place to relax and read. Then reread, discovering something new, with each adventure through the pages. Enjoy " Maxine Swann
