In modern day France, a Cambridge theologian Jacob Jenkins is secretly imprisoned in a mental institution. Not because he is mad, but because he knows the biblical Merchant's secrets, the same Merchants mentioned and warned about in the Book of Revelation, rather than killing Mr. Jenkins the Merchant's are drawing out of him the decoded information he has uncovered in the Book of Revelation, that foretells the Merchants' manipulation in the biblical End Times and Armageddon event, which help bring about the fabled 2nd coming and rise of the Beast 666. But the Merchant's plans are found out by a secret Christian order and one of their agents, Robert J. Monk is charged to extract Mr. Jenkins and bring him back to England, where he can tell the world of the Merchants evil plot and how they are planning their evil plot with the mighty Dragon and the fabled Beast, all of these evil elements are shown to he controlling a state within a state and are using their combined Communist and old Soviet spy networks that were nurtured and developed within the west to collapse their combined enemy the West itself. With the secret orders' history of protecting Christian pilgrims throughout time and with their blood spilt on many conflicts, Robert J. Monk's mission to bring Mr. Jenkins back to England should on the face of it be a easy one, with all the orders modern and ancient technology and weaponry at Monk's disposal, but it quickly turns into a struggle between good and evil has the Merchant's evil empire is unleashed upon them. Stephen Lambourne weaves together a modern day spy story with ancient medieval Christian history, while encompassed simply code breaking formulas allowing biblical scripture to be cracked open like an oyster, allowing the stories main characters to explain to the reader a compiling pictures of present day events happening in today's world with those written down in the Book of Revelation just under 2000 years ago. The readers eyes will be opened to why events you had through was not linked are indeed planned and well under way. Worst of all they are being planned and organized by the West's old enemies and the fabled Beast.

Robert E. Sherwood and the Classical Tradition
This volume explores the reception of the classical past in the works of twentieth-century American dramatist Robert E. Sherwood and his use of the ancient world to critique key events and trends in American history. It explores his comedies and the influence of both Greek Old and New Comedy, as well as his mediation of his experiences in World War I through Livy’s account of the war with Carthage. During the 1930s, Sherwood used the Peloponnesian War as a template for bringing to the attention of an unaware public the danger of an impending war between the forces of democracy and the totalitarianism represented by Nazi Germany, and post-war he raised awareness of the dangers of nuclear war through the lens of the Greek gods. As well as looking at his use of the classical past in his work, since Sherwood wrote drama deeply concerned with the major social and political events of his day, his plays open windows onto the major social and political challenges facing the United States and the world from the outbreak of World War I until the beginning of the nuclear age. This volume will be of interest to anyone working on the Classical Tradition and Classical Reception, as well as to students of twentieth-century American literature, drama, history, and politics.

Diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiance disorder, and pervasive developmental disorder in the early 1990s, Robert Stevens was anexceptionally intelligent child who could not function in a mainstream environment.Being the problem child of every play group, sports league, and extracurricular activityhe joined, Robert had no friends, no internal means of self-control, no off switch, and as his parents, Robert and Catherine Stevens, were warned perhaps no realfuture. Thinking it for the best, Robert s parents did what the experts told them to do.Despite having a remarkably high IQ, Robert was placed in a special education program, under a psychiatrist s care, and on several powerful medications, including Ritalin andProzac. Unfortunately, nothing worked quite as intended, and Robert suffered from nearlyevery side effect these drugs had to offer.Robert s parents saw they were losing him. Witnesses to Robert s drastic mood swingsand anxious displays, they did not know whether they were seeing their son or theresults of the medications he was taking. While initially helpful, the special educationclass began to create its own world of problems, with Robert taking a step backwards foreach step forward. Desperate, the Stevens family turned to holistic therapies. Amazingly, Robert began to show improvement. Wondering why their son s doctors had discouragedsuch strategies, Robert and Catherine started researching new approaches on their own.Using nontraditional approaches, Robert was found. By third grade, he was off allmedications, attending a mainstream school, making friends, and simply being himself.Finding Robert chronicles one family s journey through the world of developmentaldisorders. It depicts the struggles faced, examines the decisions made, and offers athorough analysis of the therapies utilized. Amid sadness and confusion, with strengthand resolve, Robert and Catherine regained their son and undertook a mission to changethe way we look at these conditions."

The Letters of Robert Duncan and Denise Levertov

This volume presents the complete correspondence between two of the most important and influential American poets of the postwar period. The almost 500 letters range widely over the poetry scene and the issues that made the period so lively and productive. But what gives the exchange its special personal and literary resonance is the sense of spiritual affinity and shared conviction about the power of the visionary imagination. Duncan and Levertov explore these matters in rich detail until, under the stress of dealing with the Vietnam War in poetry, they discover deep-seated differences in the religious and ethical convictions underlying their politics and poetic stance. The issues that drew them together and those that drove them apart create a powerful personal drama with far-reaching historical and cultural significance. The editors have provided a critical Introduction, full notes, a chronology, and a glossary of names.
