This thoughtful book explores for the first time the cultural and personal reasons for Siddhartha Gautama's renunciation of his important secular life for the Spiritual path from an Existential perspective. This book outlines how Siddhatha's crisis is cogently understood as an Existential Crisis which he solved by becoming Awakened. The consequences of that resolution not only answered his personal psychological crisis but gave the world a paradigm shift about the cause of human suffering and how to end it.
Deathbed Sutra of the Buddha, The – or Siddhartha`s Regrets
What if, on the final night of his earthly existence, the Buddha experienced a second Enlightenment, leading him to radically revise his teachings about the self, the world, and spiritual fulfillment? And what if that final teaching, lost for over 2000 years, was rediscovered? "The Deathbed Sutra of the Buddha" purports to offer that final conversation, part teaching and part confession, between the Buddha and his trusted attendant, Ananda. Sometimes touching, sometimes shocking, and sure to spark controversy everywhere, The Deathbed Sutra forces Buddhists and scholars of Buddhism to seriously re-evaluate fundamental aspects of the tradition. Regardless of how readers assess this work - as a hoax or as a legitimate lost teaching of the Enlightened One - they will find its content to be a serious challenge to long-held positions about the nature of the self, the nature of reality, and the path to enlightenment. This short work will be a must read for anyone with a serious interest in the teachings of the Buddha.

Siddhartha, the Brahmin's Daughter
Siddhartha, The Brahmin's Daughter is a 'feminine' translation of a book on enlightenment written by a man. The male driven vernacular and theme of his book, does not effectively translate into the feminine vernacular. This translation into the feminine, explores the battle of the words; his world vs. her world, his work vs. her work, his quest vs. her quest. In Siddhartha the Brahmin's daughter, the Feminine and Masculine vernacular demonstrate that masculine words and mind sets - are NOT interchangeable between the genders.

Essay from the year 2013 in the subject English - Literature, Works, language: English, abstract: migration, and double migration, a diasporic writer is challenged and ruptured by the multiplicity of ambivalent affiliations of language, class, race, gender and sexuality. The writer often tends to deal with these affiliations as a mode of postcolonial grand narrative exposing the theoretical clich s of marginalization and resistance. But a writer of a much greater sensibility transcends these issues and moves towards a global narrative of reconciliation and resolution. A master of every genre ─ whether it is poetry, novels, libretto, travelogue or children book ─ Vikram Seth's Two Lives exhibits refreshing change in the postcolonial narrative technique. A masterful fusion of biography, memory, autobiography, documentary, history, fiction and essay like excursions, it resists theory biased theme of cultural resistance and gravitates towards a narrative of global resolution. Deeply entrenched in the history of Second World War it is a powerful reminder of the horrors and trauma of the War. Two Lives does not do quite what is expected of a postcolonial narrative or of an English novel in the tradition of Jane Austen (as Seth's magnum opus A Suitable Boy3 is considered).A cosmopolitan4 story, narrated by a truly cosmopolitan writer, It resists any branding of an Indian writing in English.
THE THIRD EYE: The Mystery of Sri Sri Ramakrishna’s Visions
This book presents a deep and insightful exploration into the life and divine mission of the 19th-century Hindu super-saint Avatar, Sri Sri Ramakrishna, who is believed to have descended on earth as a God incarnate. His primary purpose was to promote harmony among various religions-some worshiping formless divinity, while others believed in gods and goddesses with distinct forms. Rather than acting as a religious missionary, Ramakrishna was a true evangelist of spirituality, transcending sectarian boundaries. What distinguished Ramakrishna was his extraordinary spiritual vision. Every step he took was guided by his mystical foresight-an ability to perceive events across time, both past and future. According to the author, the only scholar to have bio-behaviourally studied Ramakrishna in depth, this insight was due to the activation of his third eye, a power rooted in the Pineal Gland of the human brain-not a mythical or symbolic concept, but a physiological and spiritual reality. The book also details the powers associated with the third eye, including the ancient "astha siddhis"-eight supernatural abilities attained through yogic sadhana. Additionally, it offers a brief yet profound discussion on the seven planes of existence and the post-death journey of the soul, guided by the subtle senses it retains after shedding the physical body.
