This book focuses on augmented reality (AR) technology, which uses the real environment to superimpose virtual elements. Therefore, the reader can create applications that simulate scenarios that can be dangerous or expensive to generate in the real world. AR has proven helpful in education, marketing, and industrial scenarios. AR technology improves the user experience of various disciplines, incorporating virtual information that maximizes the experience and adds knowledge. This book intends students, researchers, and developers to have the possibility of finding the foundations on which AR technology rests. Our book intends that students, researchers, and developers: (i) learn the basics of AR; (ii) understand the technologies that support AR; (iii) know about AR applications that have been a watershed; (iv) gain an understanding of the critical elements needed to implement an AR application; (v) acquire skill in the step-by-step development of an AR application; (vi) learn how to use the instruments to evaluate an AR application; (vii) understand how to present the information about study cases; and (viii) gain knowledge about AR challenges and trends.

The Vaněk Plays are perhaps V clav Havel's best-known works, and the character Vaněk became a symbol for Czechoslovak dissidents during the Communist era. In the plays, Audience, Protest, and Unveiling, Vaněk encounters people trapped by the moral dilemmas inherent in a Communist system. Also included is Havel's modern sequel, the previously unpublished Dozens of Cousins. All translated by Jan Novak. Part of the Havel Collection, a series of new translations of the work of V clav Havel, from Theater 61 Press.

In any gas turbine design cycle, blade design is a crucial element which needs maximum attention to meet the aerodynamic performance, structural safety margins, manufacturing feasibility, material availability etc. In present day gas turbine engines, most of the failures occur during engine development test and in-service, in rotor and stator blades due to fatigue and resonance failures. To address this issue, an extensive structural dynamic analysis is carried out to predict the natural frequencies and mode shapes using FE methods. Using the dynamics characteristics, the Campbell diagram is constructed to study the possibility of resonance at various operating speeds. In any rotating machinery, blade natural frequencies vary due to the centrifugal force and temperature over the speed range and it needs to be predicted accurately at design stages itself. At present, titanium alloy is used extensively for the blades which meet the structural requirements such as strength-weight ratio, manufacturing requirements and so on. In any aero gas turbine, weight reduction is of top priority with satisfactory structural reliability through extensive analysis and testing.

Oxytocin (OT), historically known for its actions on the reproductive system, may also contribute to the regulation of cardiovascular and water-electrolyte homeostasis. OT is produced in the supraoptic and paraventricular nuclei of the hypothalamus and released into plasma from neural terminals of the posterior pituitary, however, many studies have identified extra-cerebral sites of OT production, including the heart and vascular endothelium. Activation of its receptors on endothelial cells, as well as in hypothalamic/hypophyseal and cardiac systems, may result in nitric oxide (NO) production. We aimed to verify the role of NO in the regulation of OT-stimulated atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) secretion in primary culture of mouse embryonic cardiomyocytes. For this, we used hearts from Balb C mouse embryos, 19 to 21 days old intrauterine, were isolated and cultured for assays with OT and other interfering substances in the synthesis of NO and cGMP its second messenger.
