In giving us the history of creation, God has also disclosed His principles of working in the new creation of the believer. Read and explore the purposes God has had for His believers from the very beginning.
The body of Christ is not only most spiritual but also most practical. It is an earthly testimony as well as a heavenly body. All its spiritual principles must be and can be practiced in a local assembly. Here in these pages, therefore, we shall find that Watchman Nee shares with us the practical aspects of the assembly life.
In the work of God, the worker is more important than the work. If God cannot find the right person, He would rather delay His work. Much time and effort will He spend in the training of a workman fit for the Master's use. Basically, the training is more in the area of character than of skill. Only a new creation can serve God. The fundamental features of the character of God's workman given by Watchman Nee are that he: (1) is able to listen, (2) loves all mankind, (3) has a mind to suffer, (4) buffets his body and brings it into subjection, (5) is diligent and not slothful, etc.
This volume is a compilation of various writings and addresses given by Watchman Nee in the early days of his ministry. Yet how relevant they are today The continuing need of God's children to be co-crucified followers of their Lord is their unifying theme.
Chapters 1-12 of Matthew, analyzed by Nee during his time in Shanghai from 1950-1952 (up to the time of his arrest), is invaluable, due to Nee's mature perspective and his wisdom. Part Two is taken from a much earlier study of Nee's of Matthew 1 and 2 in the 1920's.
This present volume is a compilation of messages given by God's servant Watchman Nee at various times and places. They all relate to the communion of the Holy Spirit. The first part consists of two messages on Resurrection, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. A proper perspective on the marvelous work of the Holy Spirit is therein given. The second part, entitled The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit, is composed of six messages on the Outpouring, one message on the Holy Spirit, and the Law, and two messages on the Anointing Oil. And the third part presents four messages on Spiritual Judgment, which is the fruit of the discipline of the Holy Spirit. Such discipline gives spiritual discernment for service.
Watchman Nee explains that without the breaking of the outward man there can be no release of the Spirit. Only through brokenness is the human spirit freed to serve effectually. Now a new edition, complete with a study guide/workbook
Have you ever exercised your spirit? As children of God, have you discovered the secret of spiritual growth? The Bible exhorts us: Exercise thyself unto godliness: for bodily exercise is profitable for a little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come (1 Tim 4.7b-8). Here is a book that will help you to exercise your spirit on the basic lessons of practical Christian living. By faithfully and prayerfully going through these subjects, you will discover the secret to spiritual maturity. To get the best benefit, it is suggested that you take only one lesson a week. Read it, meditate on it, and pray over it till the Holy Spirit brings you into the truth. Thus, you will exercise your spirit over these fifty-two lessons in one year.
We are all called to serve, but is God really served? Where lies the secret of true service? Paul declared, God is my witness Whom I serve in my spirit (Rom. 1.9). Clearly the secret of service is to serve in spirit. Does this sound simple? It, nonetheless, requires much dealing from God. In this present volume, brother Watchman Nee shared with us what he had learned through the years of his serving God. He delivered these messages towards the latter years of his freedom. These are fundamental and essential to true service. May all who truly desire to serve God to His satisfaction learn this open but neglected secret.
Spiritual discernment is the pressing need of today. How can we obtain this full knowledge of God? Where do we get spiritual discernment that we may know the things which are more excellent? (see Phil 1.9-10) These are the matters which brother Watchman Nee tried to address during his latter years of ministry. This present volume, entitled Spiritual Discernment is composed of three parts: Abound in Knowledge, Abound in Discernment, and Approve the Excellent.

He became a zealous believer and Christian leader and during his ministry he never stopped teaching the Bible and led many to Christ as well as edifying the Body of Christ. Most of Watchman Nee's books are based on sermons, Bible studies, and teaching sessions. Many have been taken from sermon notes, or the translation of such notes or literature that he published in China during the 1920s, 30s and 1940s. It was extensive, with over 63 books available in English translation of his teachings.Watchman Nee refused to soften or water down his Gospel message and teaching. He was finally imprisoned for his faith by Communist authorities in China in 1952. Four years later, he was brought to trial in Shanghai in 1956 where he was accused of various charges, including sabotage and spying (which he denied). He was sentenced to prison for 15 years, where he remained until his death in 1972.This Book: 'Ten Sermons that Shook China' is a select group of Nee's sermons that have special relevance and a powerful Gospel message. They also represent sermons about the Gospel message as it pertains to true freedom, atheism, land ownership and wealth, and salvation only through Christ. The front matter, editorial notes, and prefaces consisting of 'Introduction' and 'Some Thoughts About Watchman Nee' have never before been published in any manner and should be considered annotated content.Compiled in China, and republished for print in the USA, this work is presented by the New Gospel Book Room, publishers of Christian materials meant to inspire believers everywhere.
