Even though Sudoku seems to be a game of numbers, it really has nothing to do with numbers or math. It's a logic game. However, there are also some later variations of Sudoku in my collection that need some math to get to the solution. Currently we offer under the brand deVen Publishing the logic style games only, with some variations by replacing the numbers by letters or other symbols in order to increase the fun and difficulty for the player. In this puzzle book we'll only use numbers that are printed with the vision impaired in mind. The goal of this Sudoku puzzle is to fill an entire 9x9 grid with the digits 1 to 9, while given a couple of clues. For regular Sudoku's, each digit from 1 to 9 must occur exactly once in each row, exactly once in each column, and exactly once in each 3x3 subgrid. This Sudoku book will make an excellent birthday gift for yourself, spouse, friends, parents and grandparents a a present during all holidays, vacations, road trips, or any time you want to relax a bit while excising your brain cells.
Jalal al-Din Rumi is a unique literary figure. He and his works have been warmly embraced in much of the Muslim world for 800 years, yet Rumi has aslo become a bestseller in the United States. A plethora of books, from the popular to the academic, have presented him to the English-speaking audience over the last several decades. Ironically, however, no full and original translation of Rumi's magnum opus, the Divan-i Kabir, exists in the English language. This series will present a complete translation of Rumi's Divan based upon one of the earliest extant manuscripts available, the Konya codex. Translated directly from the original Persian and Arabic, this series will fill a much-needed gap in Rumi studies.

DIVAN of NAZIR Translation and Introduction Paul Smith Nazir Akbarabadi (1735-1830) is an Indian poet known as the 'Father of Nazm', who wrote mainly Urdu ghazals and nazms. It is said that Nazir's poetic treasure consisted of about 200,000 couplets but only 6000 remain. The canvas of Nazir's nazms is so vast that it encompasses all aspects of human behaviour and every person can find nazms that can suit his taste. Many of his poems are about daily life and observations of things such as training a young bear or the pleasures of the rainy season, how beauty can fade, the lives of old prostitutes, etc. His poems are loved by ordinary folk today. Many of his poems are spiritual and he is seen as a true Sufi. Bankey Behari: 'He saw the Lord everywhere. His meditations led him to the realization of the Forms of the Lord as well as the Formless Divinity. He sings of Shri Krishna with the greatest fervour as of Hazrat Ali and the Prophet Mohammed, and turns his face if he comes across the pseudo-saints and religious preceptors who are wanting in realization and yet profess it. By far he is best in portraying the heat of his yearning for his vision.' This is by far the largest translation of his poetry into English, with the correct form & meaning. Introduction on his Life, Times & Poetry and on the poetic forms he used. Selected Bibliography. Large Format Paperback 7" x 10" 394 pages. ...

DIVAN OF LALLESHWARI Translation & Introduction by Paul Smith Lalleshwari (Lalla Ded) is the famous female poet/saint from Kashmir who lived at exactly the same time as Hafiz of Shiraz (1320-1392). Her vakhs (poems/sayings) are sung even today in Kashmir. She was married at a young age but the marriage was a failure and she walked out at the age of twenty-four. She became a disciple of Siddha Srikanth. It must have taken a lot of courage on her part to walk out of a marriage and to walk around unclothed as she did. She was treated with contempt by some and much reverence by others, seeing her as a saint and eventually as God-realized. Her two hundred vakhs are some of the oldest examples of Kashmiri written. She was a bridge between Hindu mysticism and Sufism. Her poems are more influential today than ever, not only in Kashmir but around the world. Here are many of her inspired, powerful poems with correct form and meaning. Introduction on her Life, Times & Poetry. Selected Bibliography, Sufis & Dervishes, Their Art & Use of Poetry. APPENDIX: Life & Times & Poetry of Nund Rishi. Large Format Paperback 7" x 10" 268 pages.
