Learn to balance your Chakras with easy-to-follow instructions. What each chakra is in the power of, the crystals and essential oils that help with each energy center. As a catholic family in the 1940s we practiced a belief in a power greater than ourselves. My world as a daughter was easy and uplifting. Then my world as a wife and mother took me down a different road. Loving unconditionally opened a new set of thinking patterns and challenges. Everything I believed and understood as a daughter became questionable as a wife. Growing up in a loving home does not prepare you for mixing with people who have had a disturbed childhood. Save yourself with daily affirmations, mindfulness and weekly chakra balancing. Trust in a higher power, keep your own council and all will be well. Energy shifting more so than praying has worked miracles in my life and I think it will for you as well. But it must become a daily ritual. Nuns go to mass every day and a child I thought that must have been boring for them. I now know to have inner peace we must ask for it daily in some form or another. Through this simple, mind-body-spirit connection, the chakras give us ways to balance the whole system. Each of the seven chakras, aligned invisibly up and down the spinal column, stand for an important aspect of being in balance. Starting at the base of the spine and working upward, here's what the chakras can tell you about yourself, according to tradition. Be uplifted by chakra balancing and Reiki one instructions. This book was written because I am taking my grown-up family to a Healing Convention and needed to balance their chakras before we go. They went to a catholic school and are aware of a power greater than themselves but, see my new life and way of thinking as being that of a gypsy. I wanted them to understand that energy shifting is very powerful and has amazing benefits. Affirming to improve your life daily works differently from praying. Reiki is similar to praying because you are asking a higher power to bless you - with certain benefits. Whereas chakra balancing is more about unblocking negative energies. I do pray you will receive as much enlightenment from this brief to the point energy shifting book, as they did. Meditation can take a few seconds or many hours the choice is yours. I have included a click through to a biorhythm chart so you can check your biorhythms daily. How to Keep a moon calendar and keeping an eye on your moods due to where the moon is. This will give you further insights into how worldly energies affect you. I like to check my biorhythms the day before the full moon to prepare myself for energy shifting so I can take control of my emotions and avoid negative people around that time, . Especially if they do not work at energy shifting controls. I have been doing energy work now for over 50 years. Keeping a daily gratitude diary also helps to keep me focused on all the amazing things that are happening in my life. To focus on the good happenings and less on the negatives is a recipe for happiness. Enjoy and give me a thumbs up if this book helps you. Love and blessing from Robyn xxx

The novel recounts the adventures of David, orphaned grandson of a wealthy Yorkshire businessman, as he grows from a teenager brought up and disciplined by a succession of governesses, and moves out into the world of painting and drawing. While visiting the art centers of Europe, the young artist is involved with several fascinating and attractive women in Florence. In turn they become sexually interested in David and several of them seem to enjoy spanking him. This is not really surprising because David is a natural 'bottom' and he tends to attract women who are natural 'tops'. He thoroughly enjoys their attentions and submitting to their dominant behavior. Back in England his adventures among maturer women, including models and a fellow student, continue at university, Along the way he discovers that women who enjoy spanking men are just as likely to enjoy spanking other women too. What he witnesses as much as what he experiences gives him a rich education in art, women, sex - and spanking

pokkari
This book provides pre-service and practising teachers with an integrated approach to language and literacy learning in early childhood. Written by leading academics in the field, it explores how children learn to talk, play using language, become literate and make meaning - from birth through to the pre-school years. Emphasising the importance of imagination and the arts in language learning, this book addresses a wide range of contemporary issues, highlights the impact of diverse socioeconomic, language and cultural backgrounds on young children's language and literacy development, and shows how early childhood teachers can effectively partner with parents and caregivers to help children learn through and about language. Case studies, interviews, reflective questions, clear links to the Early Years Learning Framework and the Australian Curriculum, and a rich array of practical and creative activities for use in early childhood environments help students connect theory and current research to practice.
Student-Centered Teaching in Paleontology and Geoscience Classrooms
Robyn Mieko Dahl
Cambridge University Press
2018
pokkari
Research on learning and cognition in geoscience education research and other discipline-based education communities suggests that effective instruction should include three key components: a) activation of students' prior knowledge on the subject, b) an active learning pedagogy that allows students to address any existing misconceptions and then build a new understanding of the concept, and c) metacognitive reflections that require students to evaluate their own learning processes during the lesson. This Element provides an overview of the research on student-centered pedagogy in introductory geoscience and paleontology courses and gives examples of these instructional approaches. Student-centered learning shifts the power and attention in a classroom from the instructor to the students. In a student-centered classroom, students are in control of their learning experience and the instructor functions primarily as a guide. Student-centered classrooms trade traditional lecture for conceptually-oriented tasks, collaborative learning activities, new technology, inquiry-based learning, and metacognitive reflection.
Conventional approaches to the Synoptic gospels argue that the gospel authors acted as literate spokespersons for their religious communities. Whether described as documenting intra-group 'oral traditions' or preserving the collective perspectives of their fellow Christ-followers, these writers are treated as something akin to the Romantic poet speaking for their Volk - a questionable framework inherited from nineteenth-century German Romanticism. In this book, Robyn Faith Walsh argues that the Synoptic gospels were written by elite cultural producers working within a dynamic cadre of literate specialists, including persons who may or may not have been professed Christians. Comparing a range of ancient literature, her ground-breaking study demonstrates that the gospels are creative works produced by educated elites interested in Judean teachings, practices, and paradoxographical subjects in the aftermath of the Jewish War and in dialogue with the literature of their age. Walsh's study thus bridges the artificial divide between research on the Synoptic gospels and Classics.
