When life falls apart, can love rebuild the pieces under the Spanish sun? Abigail’s life has completely unraveled—she's jobless, homeless, and heartbroken in the blink of an eye. Seeking refuge with her quirky Aunt May in Spain, she throws herself into a fresh start in San Sebastian, swearing off men for good. But then she meets Gabe—gorgeous, grumpy and annoyingly irresistible. He’s only around for a week, and he’s clearly hiding something. As sparks fly, Abigail fights her growing attraction to him, but when Gabe’s secret is revealed on national television, she’s faced with a choice: risk her new job and family to trust him, or let her past heartbreak keep her from taking a second chance at love. Escape to Spain in Summer in San Sebastian, the fourth book in Joy Skye’s Sublime Retreats Romances series. A heartwarming tale of love, hope and second chances, perfect for fans of lighthearted romantic comedies. _________________________________ Praise for Sublime Retreats Romances: ? ? ? ? ? A Memoir of Sebastian Cabot

A Memoir of Sebastian Cabot

Richard Biddle

Richard Biddle (1796–1847), an American politician and lawyer, published this work on the life of the explorer and cartographer, Sebastian Cabot (c.1481–1557), anonymously in 1831. He was responding to widespread criticisms of Cabot - allegedly an unscrupulous character who played the governments of England and Spain to his own ends. The work includes notes on Sebastian's discoveries on the North American continent along with his father, John, and his search for the North-West Passage. As a governor of the Muscovy Company, Cabot initiated the expansion of English trade to Russia and the East. Cabot's own accounts of his journeys have been lost; therefore, Biddle's research is derived from other sources, particularly the writings of Richard Hakylut (c.1552–1616). This study was recognised at the time as the best review of the history of maritime discovery in the period treated, and prompted further research into the Cabot legacies.

268 pages with 80 total maps Locating original landowners in maps has never been an easy task-until now. This volume in the Family Maps series contains newly created maps of original landowners (patent maps) in what is now Sebastian County, Arkansas, gleaned from the indexes of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. But it offers much more than that. For each township in the county, there are two additional maps accompanying the patent map: a road map and a map showing waterways, railroads, and both modern and many historical city-centers and cemeteries. Included are indexes to help you locate what you are looking for, whether you know a person's name, a last name, a place-name, or a cemetery. The combination of maps and indexes are designed to aid researchers of American history or genealogy to explore frontier neighborhoods, examine family migrations, locate hard-to-find cemeteries and towns, as well as locate land based on legal descriptions found in old documents or deeds. The patent-maps are essentially plat maps but instead of depicting owners for a particular year, these maps show original landowners, no matter when the transfer from the federal government was completed. Dates of patents typically begin near the time of statehood and run into the early 1900s. What's Mapped in this book (that you'll not likely find elsewhere) . . . 3584 Parcels of Land (with original landowner names and patent-dates labeled in the relevant map) 81 Cemeteries plus . . . Roads, and existing Rivers, Creeks, Streams, Railroads, and Small-towns (including some historical), etc. What YEARS are these maps for? The Aesthetic of Johann Sebastian Bach (L’Esthéthique de Jean-Sébastien Bach), by the celebrated French musicologist André Pirro (1869-1943), was originally published in 1907 and reissued in 1973. It is offered here for the first time in English, as translated by Joe Armstrong. Pirro’s work is based primarily on an examination of the close relationships between language and music in Bach’s vocal works and provides us with an extensive and well-researched “lexicon” of the expressive resources of Bach and his contemporaries. Pirro’s study thus serves as a still sound basis for understanding and interpreting Bach’s instrumental works. Pirro’s engaging analysis that has informed and even moved discerning readers for more than a century. This translation introduces his work to a new audience of performers, music teachers and their students, composers, musicologists, and all who wish to have a greater understanding of the expressive import of Bach’s music.
