Nous interrogeons les sorties de d linquance travers la notion de d sistance, un objet de recherche relativement r cent (Benazeth, V, 2023; Ga a et al., 2019; Villeneuve et Dufour, 2018; Mohammed, 2012), par opposition au ph nom ne d'entr e la d linquance qui a suscit de nombreuses recherches depuis plusieurs d cennies (Glueck, 1950; Becker, 1985, Born et Glowacz, 2017). Dans cet ouvrage, nous abordons le ph nom ne sociologique de la d sistance dans une perspective interactionniste en faisant le lien avec le processus psychologique de la r silience, abord partir, notamment des travaux de Cyrulnik (2000, 2008). L' tude de l'articulation des ph nom nes de r silience et de d sistance permet d'interroger quels sont les facteurs de risque et de protection qui interviennent dans la transformation de l'individu et de son rapport avec son environnement et dans quelles conditions l'accompagnement ducatif, tel qu'il est propos dans les structures de la Protection judiciaire de la jeunesse, contribue cette transformation. Pour r pondre ce questionnement, nos choix m thodologiques s'orientent vers la m thode biographique telle qu'elle est d velopp e dans le cadre de la sociologie interactionniste (Shaw, 1966; Becker, 1985). Cette approche pist mologique nous permet de tracer l'exp rience subjective des jeunes dans un parcours de d linquance, les rencontres, les situations, les v nements qui ont marqu leurs parcours et qui leur ont permis de trouver les ressources n cessaires pour se reconstruire.
