Nostalgia is a tale that shows a reflection on lives past as the present times look to show the truth of the past for Valerie Benson, Ron Winston, and Rick Smalls. As things are currently pulling on each of them individually, they all cannot help but remember the things from their past that have them connected. It is these connections that are driving each of them separately to survive the present time. Through the coordinated efforts of Valerie Benson, there is an International Security Forum in a downtown Chicago hotel. As a benefactor to her high school reunion fund, she guides her twentieth high school reunion to take place in the same hotel at the conclusion of the International Forum. From his chosen career that is unknown to Valerie, Ron Winston is coming to the forum to advance his career interests. While at the forum, he believes that he has seen Rick Smalls, a childhood best friend that he has not seen in twenty years. Rick Smalls, under the name of Michael Dixon, has his own agenda at the forum and is not trying to be identified by anyone at this time. Rick has what many of the attendees of the International Forum would love to have for themselves. There are others that would like to exact revenge on him from years earlier. Being out of the shadows is new for Rick, so he is trying to stay within the cover of darkness the best that he can.
