The Lord exhorted me to expose Satan's lies. One day while writing about Satan's lies, a change in perspective took place. I began writing about his lies, deceptions, and counterfeits from Satan's point of view-what his objectives, strategies, and plans are to overcome Christians. I immediately noticed a marked increase in clarity and understanding of his schemes when I took the approach of "if I were Satan I would......"I am convinced that 21st century western Christians are deficient in their knowledge and understanding of Satan's schemes. My objective for this book is to bring Satan's schemes out into the light so that Christians are aware of his lies, deceptions, idols, and counterfeits and as a result are better prepared to overcome him.In this book I portray, take on the role of Chief Administrative Secretary on Satan's staff-one with intimate knowledge of Satan's strategies and operational plans. Also included are Satan's evaluations of his current success in overcoming Christians. The book focuses on Four Prevents that Satan employs to overcome Christians: prevent Christ from reigning as Lord in the heart, prevent Christians from hearing the voice of God, prevent Christians from doing the works of God, and prevent the growth and dominion of the Body of Christ.A few examples of the deceptions used by Satan on Christians who mistakenly believe: that they know Jesus, that knowledge and light are the same, that belief and believing are equivalent, and that they are not like the Pharisees.A few examples of the counterfeits established by Satan are: replace the voice of the Holy Spirit with the voice of religious leaders, replace the authority of the Holy Spirit with the authority of man, replace the voice of the Holy Spirit with the Bible, and create the institutional church in the likeness of the Body of Christ. The book also includes Satan's counterattack on Jesus' messages to the seven Asian churches in Revelation 1-3 and on his victories over today's churches.
A Brief Introduction to Sociology from a Christian Perspective
A Brief Introduction to Sociology from a Christian Perspective provides students with sociological tools to help them better understand social phenomena. The author integrates elements of faith throughout the texts and allows readers to supplement their biblical exegesis with social and cultural exegesis. Each chapter of the book is centered on a core theme and begins with excerpts from scripture and personal anecdotes to stimulate students' critical thought, highlight major concepts, and draw connections between elements of Christianity and sociology. The opening chapter illustrates how sociology and Christianity can be synergistic rather than mutually exclusive. Students learn why sociology is important and are introduced to early scholars who founded the discipline, as well as key sociological concepts, including the sociological imagination, conflict and integration, and more. Additional chapters explore various methods of inquiry and issues related to race and ethnicity, social class and inequality, sex and gender, and groups and institutions. The final chapter speaks to the future of sociology with an exploration into computational sociology and complexity science. Featuring an approachable and faith-based introduction to the discipline, A Brief Introduction to Sociology from a Christian Perspective is both an ideal and unique supplementary resource for foundational courses in sociology.
