From the artist behind 'Parrhesia - Now More Important than Ever' comes a book packed with blunt poetry, allowing truth and expressionism to converge. During difficult times, we are prone to questioning our beliefs. Confusion and contradiction in the real world can dizzy us down the wrong path, but art just might be the gateway to free expression. Each poem in this collection aims to encourage critical thinking over self-censorship by presenting harsh realities and crucial solutions in the form of accessible rhyme. Spark cognition with more than 50 poems about education, deception and invention.
Shedding light on the contradictions of today's beliefs and norms, "F-ing the System" by Kayla Henry, suggests new ways of thinking and observing. Inspiring action regardless of the ongoing shifts and conflicts of our world. Poems that dig far below the surface to encourage healthy communication, critical thinking, accountability, community building, and inner peace. Shaking you out of your daily rut, this book will bring you closer to the real world and guide you past the many distractions of modern life. Enjoy this forthright collection of poems from the author that brought you "Rhymes to Rhetoric" and the viral poem: "Parrhesia."

The Bible says in Colossians 3:17, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." I am a child of God, and my goal is to follow God's will for my life and glorify Him in all that I do. Writing But God Had a Plan has been a journey of faith for me that I never knew God would take me on. After years of running from God, I can finally look back and see the puzzles pieces of my life coming together. I may not have understood every step of the way, but God had a plan. There are so many people, young and old, running around looking for purpose in life. Even devout Christians are stuck in a standstill trying to understand God's will and direction. My book, But God Had a Plan is a 60-Day devotional filled with personal experiences, encouragement, and guidance for young women struggling to find God's will for their life. My prayer is that this book will cause a spiritual renewal for each reader and glorify God through each page.

Police Response to Mental Health Calls for Service: Gatekeepers and Street Corner Psychiatrists focuses on closing the gap in literature surrounding police responses to mental health calls for service, with an emphasis on the effect of training and relationships with mental health agencies, in order to better understand the interaction between police officers and individuals with mental health diagnoses. Kayla G. Jachimowski and Jonathon A. Cooper pay close attention to Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) and its impact on how police officers would respond to these calls for service, also examining how the relationships between police, the community, and mental health service providers impact police response. Jachimowski and Cooper argue for the importance of police training about mental health disorders and explore the likelihood of diverting individuals with mental illness from the criminal justice system. Scholars of criminology, sociology, and psychology will find this book particularly useful.

So much for senior year being the best part of high school. It all started when I caught my boyfriend cheating on me.I did what any girl would do-I got revenge. Of course, it didn't stop there. Thanks to a condemning video, I also got eight weeks of community service and athletic probation right before basketball season is supposed to start. (There goes my spot as captain )Thankfully, there's a guy at Marlowe Junction's Helping Hands who makes passing the time more enjoyable. He's gorgeous, funny, and a huge basketball fan.Too bad he's also my brother's biggest enemy...Courtside Crush is a modern-day retelling of Romeo and Juliet, perfect for anyone who likes their sweet romance with a dash of drama. It is the first book in the Varsity Girlfriends series.
