Peter, Frank and Jessica like playing role playing games. Even when they play board games they use different personalities while they are playing them. One day a boy named Dan shows up at Mr. Smith's mansion. The teens are more than happy to teach him how to play the games. Unfortunately, Peter got mad at the result of one of these games. He ran into the street and was hit by a van. The force of the van causes Peter to go into a coma. Peter's Uncle is a computer programmer. He creates a virtual machine which allows the teens to attempt to play a game with Peter while he is still in the coma. Back and forth they go between a world with goblins, elves, wizards, and skeletons in a mid-evil setting, and reality. Will Peter's mind be able to take it, or will the game be too much for him?
