O saneamento ambiental no Brasil ainda n o adequado e Mossor -RN um exemplo disso. Assim, essa pesquisa tem por objetivo diagnosticar as condi es de saneamento ambiental do bairro Barrocas em Mossor , especificamente no que diz respeito ao abastecimento de gua, destino dos res duos s lidos, gest o p blica ambiental e rela o da qualidade de gua com a sa de. Para tanto foi realizada pesquisa bibliogr fica, documental e coleta de dados em campo, com os moradores, atrav s de question rios. Constatou-se que as condi es socioambientais dos moradores daquele bairro s o prec rias. Os aspectos ambientais considerados mais importantes pela popula o s o: falta de saneamento b sico, falta de abastecimento de gua e a precariedade da sa de, al m de doen as decorrentes desses problemas. Assim essa pesquisa visa fornecer politicas publicas na rea de gest o ambiental para popula o do referido local de estudo.
