Witnessing the gruesome murder of his parents and nearly becoming a victim himself, leaves a boy psychologically disturbed and homeless. Along with this, he must protect his younger brother, and years later they form a bond with other young outcasts, eventually taking refuge in an abandoned junkyard.By chance, two criminals stop by the junkyard one night, leading him to witness yet another murder. Shortly after, he kills the murderer in self-defense, and he and his junkyard friends quickly get rid of the bodies and the evidence. Unfortunately, they realize they must leave the city to avoid being caught.However, things take a different turn when they accidentally stumble on the identity of his parents' murderer, and soon they decide to track him down. But before long they learn that the murderer not only stays one step ahead of them but enjoys playing cat and mouse with his pursuers.The protagonist eventually discovers something about his brother that adds more to the search, a search for himself, even while his sanity and heroic efforts to do the right thing seem to circle the drain. His fate is balanced on a knife's edge, almost literally, and the reader is left wondering to the end what will finally happen.
The prayers provided in this book have been developed during personal prayer times with God, generational prayer sessions, the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and revelation through dreams and times of meditation. It is my hope that they will help the reader to achieve greater and greater levels freedom in and through Jesus Christ. They are prayers to repent of not only our own sins, but the sins of our ancestors that affect us today. I encourage you all to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you as you pray through these prayers.

In the first two chapters of Luke, characters acknowledge Jesus as Messiah, Son of God, and Lord. Lukan characters also speak of John going before the Lord God, suggesting that Jesus might be the Lord in view, and connect Jesus with Old Testament YHWH passages. These features have made Luke 1-2 a key locus for discussions of Lukan Christology, generating speculation as to whether Luke presents Jesus as divine. However, they also create an apparent incongruity with the body of the Gospel. In Luke 3 and elsewhere, human characters are initially ignorant that Jesus is Messiah, Son of God, and Lord. Moreover, Jesus' divinity – if Luke affirms it – does not seem to be recognized until after the resurrection. In this study, Caleb Friedeman advances a new model for understanding the Christological relationship between Luke 1-2 and the rest of Luke-Acts, in which Luke presents these opening chapters as a Christological mystery.

Caleb Bernacchio and Robert Couch present an integrative account of business ethics from a neo-Aristotelian perspective. Engaging the Markets Failures Approach in Part I, they introduce the concept of 'eudaimonic efficiency' as a more realistic alternative to Pareto efficiency, before identifying several market virtues that promote human flourishing through mutually beneficial transactions. Turning to the firm in Part II, they identify a number of virtues that foster collaboration, support the development of a novel theory of value creation and associated strategic capabilities, and sustain effective corporate governance, contributing to the flourishing of customers, employees, and other stakeholders. In dialogue with Habermasian approaches to political CSR, Part III develops an account of stakeholder deliberation as an activity that contributes to eudaimonic efficiency by mitigating unjust harms stemming from negative externalities and other market failures. In doing this, they introduce an account of the virtues needed for effective deliberation between stakeholders.
