När Edith Södergran debuterade hösten 1916 var mottagandet blandat. Dikterna representerade något helt nytt och gav upphov till divergerande tolkningar. Sedan dess har Södergrans produktion fortsatt att inspirera och utmana till nya läsningar. Första delen av Samlade skrifter, Dikter och aforismer, utkom 1990 och den andra, Brev, 1996. Denna tredje del presenterar den nu sekellånga receptionen i kritik och forskning och synliggör hur tolkningstraditioner bryts mot varandra och frilägger olika betydelseskikt i dikterna. Genom översikterna framträder utvecklingslinjerna i Södergrans författarskap. Famous photographer, spy for the Soviet Union, and single mother – Edith Tudor-Hart led an eventful life. Born and raised in Vienna, she studied at the Bauhaus during the Weimar Republic. Later, she was arrested for communist activities and emigrated to England. There, she became known for her photographic social reportage and had close contact with Anna Freud, Donald Winnicott, and Kim Philby, among others. At the same time, she worked on behalf of the KGB and played a key role in recruiting the Cambridge Five, the most famous spy ring maintained by the Soviet Union in Great Britain.
