This book is about liberal legislators and presidents in Washington, D. C. destroying our Constitutional Republic, and what we citizens must do to stop them. Our Founding Fathers gave us the most profound and amazing governmental system in history, a form of government based on the Constitution and Bill of Rights. They laid the foundation for what might be possible in a free society. William Gladstone, four-time Prime Minister of England, said of the Constitution, "...it is the most wonderful work ever struck off at a given time by the brain and purpose of man." Liberal politicians think they know a better way, and have proceeded to disregard the Constitution, the free market system and their responsibility to provide an environment in which people are empowered to stand on their own two feet, receiving their rewards based on what they accomplish in their lives. Rather, they have convinced millions of people to believe the lie that the best in life for them is to become wards of the State and receive the monthly "gov'ment" check. The development of the welfare state is the result, and this cannot exist alongside a Constitutional Republic. A welfare state degrades people by convincing them they are incapable of caring for themselves. A Constitutional Republic provides every citizen with freedom to be responsible for themselves by developing and using the potential our Maker placed within them during the creation process. Liberal legislators have considered themselves to be the the "do-good-ers" by helping the poor. In reality, they have been the "do-badders." In the process, they have brought our nation to its knees. In the last election, we elected a man to our highest office who has no intention of following the Constitution, and he has a deep need or lust for determination of what this nation will become. Can what they have done be corrected? Yes, it can, but restoration of a Constitutional Republic will demand the best that real Americans have within them. We are the ones who will put our nation back on the road that leads to Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness for all who are wiling to earn it.

Anger is one of the most difficult emotions for human beings to cope with. If our anger is unmanaged, we can end up behaving in destructive ways towards both ourselves and other people, and can face relationship difficulties and negative health consequences. Far from 'letting ourselves off the hook', recent research has shown that by developing compassion towards ourselves and others and compassionately understanding our anger and the factors that fuel it, we can connect with the courage and skills needed to change our behaviour. This fascinating and practical self-help guide will give you a number of powerful techniques for tackling your anger head on and taking control of it, rather than letting it control you. USING THIS WORKBOOK, READERS WILL LEARN ABOUT: - The factors that trigger and fuel our anger, how it works and how to change the anger response - Specific skills to manage anger and improve relationships Filled with interactive exercises and practical skills, The Anger Workbook will guide you in your journey to transform your anger into inner strength. THE COMPASSIONATE MIND APPROACH The self-help books in this series are based on compassion focused therapy (CFT, developed by series editor Paul Gilbert). This brings together an understanding of how our mind can cause us difficulties but also provides us with a powerful solution in the shape of mindfulness and compassion. It teaches ways to stimulate the part of the brain connected with kindness, warmth, compassion and safeness, and to calm the part that makes us feel, anxious, angry, sad or depressed.
From Homer to Aristotle, understanding anger and harnessing its power was at the core of Hellenic civilization. Homer created the framework for philosophical inquiries into anger, one that persisted until it was overturned by Stoicism and Christianity. Plato saw anger as the guardian of justice and Aristotle conceived of it as bound to friendship. Yet both showed that anger can become a guardian of injustice and a defender of our psychological abnormalities. Plato claimed that reason is a tertiary factor in controlling anger and Aristotle argued that non-cognitive powers can issue commands for anger's arousal - findings that shed light as to why cognitive therapeutic approaches often prove to be ineffective. Both proposed nurturing the thumos, the receptacle of anger and the seat of self-esteem. Aristotle's view of public anger as an early warning sign of social dissolution continues to be relevant to this day. In this carefully argued study, Kostas Kalimtzis examines the theories of anger in the context of the ancient world with an eye to their implications for the modern predicament.
Anger is an emotion that affects everyone regardless of culture, class, race, or gender-but at the same time, being angry always results from the circumstances in which people find themselves. In On Anger, Sue J. Kim opens a stimulating dialogue between cognitive studies and cultural studies to argue that anger is always socially and historically constructed and complexly ideological, and that the predominant individualistic conceptions of anger are insufficient to explain its collective, structural, and historical nature. On Anger examines the dynamics of racial anger in global late capitalism, bringing into conversation work on political anger in ethnic, postcolonial, and cultural studies with recent studies on emotion in cognitive studies. Kim uses a variety of literary and media texts to show how narratives serve as a means of reflecting on experiences of anger and also how we think about anger-its triggers, its deeper causes, its wrongness or rightness. The narratives she studies include the film Crash, Maxine Hong Kingston’s The Woman Warrior, Tsitsi Dangarembga’s Nervous Conditions and The Book of Not, Ngugi wa Thiong’o’s Devil on the Cross and Wizard of the Crow, and the HBO series The Wire. Kim concludes by distinguishing frustration and outrage from anger through a consideration of StÉphane Hessel’s call to arms, Indignez-vous! One of the few works that focuses on both anger and race, On Anger demonstrates that race-including whiteness-is central to our conceptions and experiences of anger.

Righteous Anger in Contemporary Italian Literary and Cinematic Narratives analyses the role of passion – particularly indignation – and how it shapes intention and inspires the work of many contemporary Italian writers and filmmakers. Noting how art often holds the power to shed light on issues surrounding inequity, inequality, and injustice, the book explores the ethical function of art as a tool in resistance and sociopolitical protest, thereby validating the axiom that ethics and aesthetics can still collaborate in the creation of meaning. Drawing on a range of Italian novels and films and examining the works of artists such as Tiziano Scarpa, Simona Vinci, Paolo Sorrentino, and Monica Stambrini, the author shows that anger can be used constructively as a weapon of resistance against negative and oppressive forces.

"Vogeltanz offers a fully mature and relentlessly explicit drawing style in order to illuminate the most degraded sites in this world: his exuberant page compositions are bathed in bright colors; his backgrounds threaten to engulf the single images or allow them to appear briefly, emerging on the visible page surfaces. A visually exhilarating reading experience." (Paul Gravett)
