A wise forty- dollar investment becomes millions after Corey is introduced to a half- Nicaraguan, half-Cuban drug lord from Central America. Using the alias Walt Diznee, Corey turns a small business into serious street cred. Unfortunately, the love of his life gets involved in a relationship with another drug pusher, placing all of them in jeopardy. Meanwhile, an ex-stripper named Felicia gets a second chance at life when Mr. Teflon sends her to college. What is the Good Life? Learn from some of the greatest minds in Greek, Jewish, and Christian thought. Comparing their thought reveals a new apex reached in the age-old question concerning the relationship of Jerusalem and Athens, faith and reason. Few have been more influential in Judaism and Christianity than Moses Maimonides and Thomas Aquinas, yet Aristotle influenced them both in significant ways. By adopting and adapting some of Aristotle's best thinking, we can appreciate Maimonides' and Aquinas' search for the Good Life from their respective views, ranging from the fall to human perfectibility. This examines human nature, the human telos, and how each would prescribe the route to the Good Life. For all three, it is ultimately about the knowledge of God. But what does that mean? The comparative approach is more illuminating than if considered in isolation. Comparatively, Aristotle's approach may be characterized as informational, Maimonides' as instructional, and Aquinas' as pneumatic-relational. The role of faith as a virtue in both Maimonides and Aquinas makes a substantive difference over Aristotle's in philosophical and practical ways. It is used to exploit their accounts of the human fall, moral perfection, and ultimate human perfection--the knowledge of God.

Are you tired of being confused about the plurality of God? Do you believe that God is singular and are confused why people are saying there is more than one God in the Godhead, but yet say that God is one? Do you fully understand three persons in the Godhead? What about why Unitarians don't believe in the Divinity of Jesus? Are you questioning whether there are people in heaven right now or not? Do you have any questions in your mind about the Angelic-Human Hybrid Giants so frequently referred to throughout the Bible? What became of them? Where did they come from? Behind every great man is an even greater Legend. Do you know the Clash of the Titans? Who doesn't? Myth you say? I say not. What about the true difference between Angels and Demons? Did you know Demons aren't and never were Angels? Where did Demons really come from? Read this small, but action packed book that is nothing short of amazing, and you will find extensive answers to every one of these questions. You will have a complete understanding of the most common religious foundations and the New Revelation that will open your mind to much greater possibilities.

They are cherished, admired. Cursed. Jane, Alice, Nora, Grace, and Eden carry the burden of being punished for a crime they did not commit, or even know about. They are each cursed to be Without one essential thing—the ability to eat, sleep, love, remember, or hope. And their mother, the Queen, is imprisoned, frozen in time in an unbreakable glass box. But when Eden’s curse sets in on her thirteenth birthday, the princesses are given the opportunity to break the curse, preventing it from becoming a True Spell and dooming the princesses for life. To do this, they must confront the one who cast the spell—Reagan, a young witch who might not be the villain they thought—as well as the wickedness plaguing their own kingdom…and family. Perfect for fans of Deb Caletti, this "powerful, absorbing, and beautiful" (Booklist) coming-of-age novel in verse follows a teen girl who connects with the women of her maternal line through their journals and comes to better understand her fraught relationship with her mother. Mimi's relationship with her mother has always been difficult. But lately, her mother has been acting more withdrawn than usual, leaving Mimi to navigate the tricky world of turning sixteen alone. What she doesn't expect is her mother's advice to start journaling--just like all the woman in her family before her. It's a tradition, she says. Expected. But Mimi takes to poetry and with it, a way to write down the realities of growing into a woman, the pains of online bullying, and the new experiences of having a boyfriend. And all in the shadows of a sexual assault case that is everywhere on the news--a case that seems to specifically rattle her mother. Trying to understand her place in the world, Mimi dives into the uncovered journals of her grandmother, great-grandmother, and beyond. She immerses herself in each of their lives, learns of their painful stories and their beautiful sprits. And as Mimi grows closer to each of these women, she starts to forge her own path. But it isn't until her mother's story comes to light that Mimi learns about the unyielding bonds of family and the relentless spirit of womanhood.
