Die Quantifizierung von elektronenmikroskopischen Befunden scheint besonders sinn- voll, weil pathologische Veranderungen von biologischem Material insbesondere im feinstrukturellen Bereich haufig mehr quantitiver als qualitativer Natur sind. Als besonders geeignete Untersuchungsobjekte kommen Gewebesysteme in Frage, die nicht isotrop aufgebaut sind.
