In this novel ghosts are the result of the emotions of a traumatic occasion being absorbed by inanimate objects (room, murder weapon etc). Sensitive people can see a re-enactment of the murder recreated in their minds and it appears to them as ghosts. An Oxford professor invents a machine that can read these emotions imprinted on inanimate objects. He recruits 3 post graduate students to help him develop the machine to be used in crime fighting and archaeology. They inadvertently discover a secret that some in the Catholic Church would rather not be revealed and they also discover the identity of a serial killer that is too close for comfort. The resulting chases across country after country results in murder and political intrigue that potentially threatens the very peace of the world.

The Oracle of Animae Mundi Guidebook
This guidebook is multi-layered, much like the illustrations it contains. The drawings were released from serendipity and Nature's inspiration so the images instinctively invite self-exploration and a deeper dive into spirituality - as you define it. Like all divination tools, what you interpret from the cards is more important than what others see when they explore them. The drawings speak of intimate conversations with Anima Mundi, Earth's Soul, and their intention is to help you find your voice so you may more easily speak to Gaia and Her muses. This divination tool is intended to clear a path to the desires that you and your Guides are currently manifesting. Nature is a healer yet it's up to you to heed Her advice. The Oracle of Animae Mundi divination is about free will. You are invited to sit and study the images and use the cards as way to slow down, to connect - or reconnect - with the natural world. With the Soul of Earth as your guide, trust your instincts because they're usually spot on. The intention is to tap into your Higher Self. The expanding images eventually take on lives of their own. Found within most of the images are layers of smaller scenes, creatures, and characters, many of them are recurring. Some of these illustrations are directly connected to Dreams and Visions while others stream from the ther, that Otherworldly place of Spirit. This oracle is a natural outgrowth of the companion book Animae Mundi Dialogues With Earth and can be viewed as a supplement though this project can stand alone using this guidebook and the cards. The oracle cards are only available from Printer's Studio and must be ordered separately from that company's website. The Oracle of Animae Mundi is based loosely on the Celtic Wheel of the Year and interpretations of the nonspatial continuum and the space-time conundrum. The images and their interpretations are heavily influenced by Animist spirituality and include elemental associations and sacred directions, offering another way of interpretation. The oracle recognises the eight Quarter and Cross Quarter Days in the Wheel of the Year and each of the sabbats include eight cards. These sections are divided into 'suits'.
A History of the Future

A History of the Future

In this wide-ranging survey, Peter J. Bowler explores the phenomenon of futurology: predictions about the future development and impact of science and technology on society and culture in the twentieth century. Utilising science fiction, popular science literature and the novels of the literary elite, Bowler highlights contested responses to the potential for revolutionary social change brought about by real and imagined scientific innovations. Charting the effect of social and military developments on attitudes towards innovation in Europe and America, Bowler shows how conflict between the enthusiasm of technocrats and the pessimism of their critics was presented to the public in books, magazines and exhibitions, and on the radio and television. A series of case studies reveals the impact of technologies such as radio, aviation, space exploration and genetics, exploring rivalries between innovators and the often unexpected outcome of their efforts to produce mechanisms and machines that could change the world.

ERISA, the detailed and technical amalgam of labor law, trust law, and tax law, directly governs trillions of dollars spent on retirement savings, health care, and other important benefits for more than 100 million Americans. Despite playing this central role in the US economy and social insurance systems, the complexities of ERISA are often understood by only a few specialists. ERISA Principles elucidates employee benefit law from a policy perspective, concisely explaining how common themes apply across a wide range of benefit plans and factual contexts. The book's non-technical language and cross-cutting conceptual organization reveal latent similarities and rationalize differences between the regulatory treatment of apparently disparate programs, including traditional pensions, 401(k), and health care plans. Important legal developments - whether statutory, judicial, or administrative - are framed and analyzed in an accessible, principles-centric manner, explaining how ERISA functions as a coherent whole.

What is reality and can you believe what you see? This is what Idris Rees must face after his life is changed beyond belief after being given a mysterious software program by an enigmatic stranger. Finding himself in other worlds, initially not knowing whether they were virtual or real, he struggled with the moral quandaries he finds. Overwhelmed by some of the dilemmas he encountered, he found himself compelled to think through more carefully how he dealt with ethical issues - even if, as it appeared, they only existed in his imagination. Then there was the mysterious programmer, Emrys (the Welsh form of Ambrose, given to Merlin), derived from the Greek name Ambrosios, meaning immortal. Was he the legendary bard and wizard and had he indeed discovered the secret of living forever? Had he tasted Ambrosia - the food of the gods?

The book starts in the near future with the heroine being arrested for a fraud on a massive global scale. During the interrogation, her story unfolds and the story is her revealing her life story and ability. She had always had an interest in gambling but at school she started to get headaches and found that after the headaches she knew what was going to happen. She used this ability to become the richest person in the world and then she started to do good for others. Among other things for good she sets up a trust to fund up and coming inventors who couldn't get funding from other sources. One of these inventors had an idea for a sort of time machine, but it would cost a fortune to build. They built it and the time machine worked but it had unfortunate consequences it gave the heroine terminal cancer due to her being the pilot and genie-pig using it. The heroine died before she could be brought to trial and so escaped justice. But as always there was a twist at the end, especially when you mess with time.

One of the biggest risks any company can take is the setting-up of an overseas production subsidiary. The production subsidiary requires the greatest capital with the possibility of the total investment being lost should the venture fall. It is to reduce that risk that this book has been written.
