Two agents. A treasonous conspiracy. No one to trust but each other. FBI Special Agent Jackson Brooks thought he could leave the darkness behind. After walking away from the Violent Crimes Against Children task force, he retreated to Florence, Alabama, hoping for peace. But when two people are executed at a local restaurant, Jackson is pulled back into a world he thought he'd escaped. FBI Special Agent Willow Banks has one last chance to make things right. Haunted by her partner's death, she's determined to save the K9 her late partner left behind-an unruly dog the Bureau has given up on. Sent to Jackson for help evaluating the animal, Willow's visit takes an unexpected turn when the quiet Alabama town erupts in violence. With a corrupt police force eager to pin the murders on a homeless man, Jackson and Willow must confront their demons and trust each other to uncover the truth. Because in Florence, the real monsters aren't always hiding in the shadows-they're standing in plain sight.
The future looked bright until the past cast a dark shadow. FBI Special Agent Willow Banks hasn't spoken to her eldest brother in three years-not since he betrayed her. Now Mason sits in a cell, charged with murder, and the evidence couldn't be more damning. Alongside her fianc , FBI Special Agent Jackson Brooks, and their two K9s, Willow returns to her South Carolina hometown, determined to prove Mason's innocence. But the deeper they dig, the more dangerous the case becomes-and what they uncover threatens more than just Mason's freedom. When her own dark history surfaces, Willow is forced to confront secrets she thought were long buried. Mason and his three young daughters are now in danger, and Willow must find a way to help a brother she's never forgiven while keeping the past from derailing the investigation that could save them all.
Some trails lead to rescue. Others lead to something much darker. FBI Special Agent Jackson Brooks has something to prove. His K9 partner, Ruby, is already a top-tier Search and Rescue dog, but convincing the Bureau she can also track dangerous criminals? That's a different fight altogether-especially with a supervisor who seems dead set on seeing them fail. What should have been a standard certification test turns deadly when a storm rolls in. The wilderness becomes treacherous, and something about this exercise doesn't add up. But when Ruby picks up a trail that was never part of the test, everything changes. With time running out and danger closing in, Jackson and Ruby must push past their limits, relying on each other to survive. Because this isn't just about certification anymore. It's about something much bigger. And if they don't get it right, someone may not make it off the mountain alive.
Wren Maxwell's father made a decision to send his son to a new school on another planet, but now he was having second thoughts. On his ranch on Brillset, he was breaking a wild stallion, knowing the messenger waiting at the fence wanted not only his signature but his son. Torkay Maxwell was rightly worried as Wren just turned nine years old. Retired after 20 years as a Viper Blue Agent with the Lor Rangers, he had spent the past two years with his son, dreading this day knowing the boy wasn't ready. He rode to the gate, slid from the saddle and handed the reins to a groom. He removed his gloves while walking toward the messenger. Barr would be bringing word that Wren had received a full scholarship to Master Esparatin's Academy. He soon learned the scholarship package included a ticket for Wren to travel to the Academy in the V-B5 Thunderbird, a new spaceship considered the fastest in the Universe. Now Torkay wondered if he had made the right decision sending his son on such a dangerous journey. Meanwhile, playing on a ball field at school, Wren was trying to decide how to tell his friends he was leaving not only the school but his mother, father and two brothers to fly half-way across the universe. His dad said it would be a grand adventure, but he had never been away from home without his parents. At the new school, he would meet students from other worlds, and their appearance would not be like the friends he left at home. Also, the VB-5 Thunderbird would travel through a fiery Time Continuum Strand and there were other dangers along the way, but his dad said Captain KeSouri was a great pilot who would keep him safe. When the time came for Wren to leave, with quivering nerves, he boarded the huge VB-5 Thunderbird, and as it approached the CT Strand Wren had never been this scared before. He could not see how they could get in through that fiery entrance, and then how would they get out. He had heard rumors of pirates who waited to attack travelers when they exited at the end gate. It was going to be a long trip and there was much to see and learn. Just then, he saw a space blink open in the center of the fiery entrance and the ship flew straight through lightning strikes into the strangest sight he had ever seen. He had no idea soon at his new school, he would be running for his life. An exciting read for any age.

Jamie is searching for meaning in his life. He's seventeen and can't figure out where he fits in, or what his future might hold, but he hopes one day to meet someone he can share his ideas with, his doubts, and his dreams. Then again, he's shy, and the girls in this neighborhood aren't his type. Jamie lives in a part of town where graffiti is splashed on walls, not as folk art, but as an expression of anger by those unlucky enough to live there. Until now, though, he's managed to fly under the radar of the local gangs. When he spots some money lying on the floor of the grocer, Jamie stuffs it into his pocket and heads to the fairground to have some fun. What happens next sends the teenager's normally well-ordered life spinning out of control, and he finds himself on a pathway of escalating crime, driven by his own naivete and fear of his next-door neighbor, Archie.
