Entomopathogenic fungi, Nomuraea rileyi (Farlow) Samson is an important natural mortality factor of many Lepidopteran pests on variety of crop ecosystem. Considering the effectiveness and economics N. rileyi @ 1.25 kg/ha combined with methomyl 0.025 per cent or novaluron 0.004 per cent or spinosad 0.0045 per cent or indoxacarb 0.0015 per cent was found as effective and economical and can be recommended for eco-friendly management of S. litura in groundnut ecosystem, when they were applied twice first at 50 per cent flowering and second at 50 per cent pod formation. The results of laboratory bioassays confirmed the results of field efficacy of N. rileyi alone and its combination with insecticides against S. litura. N. rileyi @ 2.5 g/litre proved to be the most effective dose among nine doses tested against 3rd instar larvae of S. litura under laboratory condition.Compatibility studies of insecticides with N. rileyi resulted that spinosad 0.009 per cent, endosulfan 0.07 per cent, novaluron 0.008 per cent and quinalphos 0.05 per cent were found most compatible with N. rileyi.

Regenerative agriculture is the process of restoring degraded soils using practices (e.g., adaptive grazing, no-till planting, no or limited use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizer, etc.) based on ecological principles. These principles guide a set of practices that farmers can adapt to their specific environmental and cultural contexts. The core principles are minimizing soil disturbance, maintaining soil cover, maximizing crop diversity, integrating livestock, building soil fertility naturally, enhancing water management, promoting ecosystem health and community and economic resilience. And these principles can be obtained through key practices like zero tillage, reduced tillage, cover cropping, mulching, crop diversification, crop rotation, natural farming, silvo-pasture, rotational grazing, organic farming, bio-fertilizer, bio-pesticides, drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, rain water harvesting, groundwater discharge, Integrated Farming System, agroforestry, climate resilient agriculture technologies, NICRA, etc.

Principles of Chemical Vapor Deposition provides a simple introduction to heat and mass transfer, surface and gas phase chemistry, and plasma discharge characteristics. In addition, the book includes discussions of practical films and reactors to help in the development of better processes and equipment. This book will assist workers new to chemical vapor deposition (CVD) to understand CVD reactors and processes and to comprehend and exploit the literature in the field. The book reviews several disparate fields with which many researchers may have only a passing acquaintance, such as heat and mass transfer, discharge physics, and surface chemistry, focusing on key issues relevant to CVD. The book also examines examples of realistic industrial reactors and processes with simplified analysis to demonstrate how to apply the principles to practical situations. The book does not attempt to exhaustively survey the literature or to intimidate the reader with irrelevant mathematical apparatus. This book is as simple as possible while still retaining the essential physics and chemistry. The book is generously illustrated to assist the reader in forming the mental images which are the basis of understanding.

Most books on fractals focus on deterministic fractals as the impact of incorporating randomness and time is almost absent. Further, most review fractals without explaining what scaling and self-similarity means. This book introduces the idea of scaling, self-similarity, scale-invariance and their role in the dimensional analysis. For the first time, fractals emphasizing mostly on stochastic fractal, and multifractals which evolves with time instead of scale-free self-similarity, are discussed. Moreover, it looks at power laws and dynamic scaling laws in some detail and provides an overview of modern statistical tools for calculating fractal dimension and multifractal spectrum.

The success of individualized medicine, advanced crops, and new and sustainable energy sources requires thoroughly annotated genomic information and the integration of this information into a coherent model. A thorough overview of this field, Genome Annotation explores automated genome analysis and annotation from its origins to the challenges of next-generation sequencing data analysis. The book initially takes you through the last 16 years since the sequencing of the first complete microbial genome. It explains how current analysis strategies were developed, including sequencing strategies, statistical models, and early annotation systems. The authors then present visualization techniques for displaying integrated results as well as state-of-the-art annotation tools, including MAGPIE, Ensembl, Bluejay, and Galaxy. They also discuss the pipelines for the analysis and annotation of complex, next-generation DNA sequencing data. Each chapter includes references and pointers to relevant tools. As very few existing genome annotation pipelines are capable of dealing with the staggering amount of DNA sequence information, new strategies must be developed to accommodate the needs of today’s genome researchers. Covering this topic in detail, Genome Annotation provides you with the foundation and tools to tackle this challenging and evolving area. Suitable for both students new to the field and professionals who deal with genomic information in their work, the book offers two genome annotation systems on an accompanying downloadable resources.
